A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Driver/Valeter to join our highly successful team at Harley-Davidson Newmarket and forthcoming Newmarket Yamaha Dealership in January 2025.

You will play an integral role within our dual site where your primary focus will be providing collection and delivery of sales and service bikes, motorcycle valeting, along with some basic site maintenance.

Ideally you will have previous experience within the motorcycle/automotive trade, but we are also willing to consider someone with a great attitude who is looking for that first break into the motorcycle industry. Full training will be provided.

In this customer facing role, you will genuinely want to take ownership of our customer’s needs, wants and desires and you will also want to get fully involved with dealership events and rides, both on and off site. We live and breathe Harley-Davidson, to us this is far more than just a place of work!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Motorcycle deliveries & collections
  • Van maintenance diary and daily inspections
  • Meeting time driven targets
  • Managing own workload & efficiencies
  • Ensuring we exceed our customer expectations
  • Assisting in dealership events
  • Carrying out basic service washes, when required
  • Basic site maintenance and upkeep

Essential:

  • Full UK car and motorcycle licence
  • First class positive, can do attitude
  • Fit and able to confidently move our motorcycles.

  • Wants to understand and support all other areas of the dealership
  • For those who may lack in experience, a willingness to learn is essential

Newmarket £25,000 - £34,400, dependent on experience

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Motorcycle Technician to join our us at Yamaha Newmarket working alongside our highly experienced team at Harley-Davidson.

Previous experience as a Motorcycle Technician is essential to this role, and you will need to possess an NVQ 3 in car/motorcycle maintenance. This is an ideal role for someone wishing to develop their career and benefit from full manufacturer technician training.

This role will require you to interact with our customers, so, standard service is not enough. You will genuinely want to take ownership of their needs, wants and desires, and you’ll want to get fully involved with dealership events and rides, both on and off site. We live and breathe bikes, to us this is far more than just a place of work, and we like to have some fun too!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct Interaction with our Customers
  • Servicing and Repairs on Yamaha and all other makes of Motorcycles
  • Understand and Adhere to Manufacturer Guidelines
  • Carry out Vehicle Health Checks Be Conversant with Manufacturer Online Systems and Special Tools
  • Provide Detailed Written Diagnostics on Job Cards
  • Fully log Warranty work on Job Cards
  • Carry out Health Checks
