Supporting the LIND Group (based at Porsche Centre Tonbridge)

LIND is a privately owned automotive group representing Porsche cars and BMW, Harley-Davidson, Yamaha, Ducati and Triumph motorcycles. Based in Tonbridge, Kent with 11 dealerships spread across the home counties, London and East Anglia. We have a workforce of 260 people.

We are seeking an experienced People Manager (HR Manager) to deliver exceptional support to our teams during a fixed term maternity cover period.

The role will be based in Tonbridge although occasional travel to some of our sites may be required. To be successful, you will have a positive approach to all that you do and ultimately care about the people in our business to get the best out of everyone. The role reports directly into the Managing Director. Experience of Manager ER challenges and good knowledge of Employment law is essential. CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent is also preferred.

Our perfect candidate will be creative in their problem solving always championing the values of the company are always met. Taking ownership and looking for solutions are also key requirements in the role. This role may suit someone who is already be working in a similar role.

Key responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Complete monthly HR reports
  • Prepare offer letters, contracts and job descriptions for new starters
  • Create offboarding documentation and conduct exit Interviews
  • Overall management of the HR administration
  • Overall responsibility of the Recruitment process 
  • Manage our employee benefit schemes 
  • Update of HR policies and processes (through collaboration with our external HR consultants)
  • Day to day Employee Relations support to our sites Including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management queries and documentation support 
  • Assist in all levels of Our People lifecycle continually looking to improve the experience.
  • Provide HR reports and insights using analytics.
  • Support the finance team to process monthly payroll. 
  • Overall responsibility for MoorePay, our HR Information and Payroll systems.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with people at all levels within a business. 
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent IT Skills (Microsoft office suite)
  • Experience of working and resolving ER cases 
  • Experience In managing and processing payroll 
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR systems and processes 
  • Experience of Report writing and understanding HR metrics
  • Experience In developing, reviewing, and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Benefits management experience
  • Understanding of the role of GDPR within HR to be able to ensure compliance and confidentiality.
  • Ability to connect with others through rapport-building, and a supportive approach.

Salary & Working week:

  • £45,000 per annum dependent on experience (Pro-rata)
  • 40 hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:30am - 17:30pm
