We are now seeking a proactive and creative Marketing Manager to lead and coordinate marketing and promotional activity for the Entrepreneurship & Start‑Up Service (ESU).
About the Role
As the ESU Marketing Manager, you will support the ESU Project Manager in developing, implementing and managing the marketing plan. You will collaborate with operational teams, and delivery partners to drive engagement, increase client referrals and ensure all marketing activity aligns with brand and contractual requirements. Relationship management, campaign analysis and effective communication are central to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analyse market trends, demographics and competitor activity to inform strategy.
- Develop, agree and manage the annual marketing plan and campaign budget to meet recruitment and engagement targets.
- Monitor, analyse and report on campaign performance, recommending improvements where needed.
- Manage outsourced marketing activity, ensuring high-quality, on‑brand and results‑driven delivery.
- Coordinate and support ESU event management including venue sourcing, speaker booking, promotion, attendance maximisation and feedback analysis.
- Create, manage and schedule engaging social media content, ensuring timely responses and community engagement.
- Act as Brand Guardian for EPC, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines.
- Produce case studies and work with stakeholders to secure approval and promotion.
- Attend ESU management meetings to present plans, report progress, and receive feedback.
- Ensure accurate recording of marketing activity and outcomes in IT systems. R
- eport regularly to the ESU Contract Manager and Operational Management Team.
- Identify and recommend improvements to systems, processes and marketing effectiveness.
- Undertake any other duties required by the ESU Operational Management Team.

About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience coordinating and delivering marketing support.
- Strong stakeholder relationship‑building skills.
- Proven project and event management experience, including budget management.
- Experience creating and managing marketing plans and working to brand guidelines.
- Skilled in managing digital and social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube).
- Experience with Google Analytics, SEO and PPC.
- Strong copywriting skills across digital and traditional media.
- Ability to analyse data, prepare reports and present information clearly.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office/365.
- High integrity and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Valid UK driving licence and ability to travel.
Desirable
- Marketing qualification (e.g., CIM Certificate in Marketing).
- Experience in business support or consultancy (public or private sector).
- Understanding of the Welsh economy and SME needs.
- Welsh language skills (highly desirable).
