Role Purpose
The Healthcare Sales Manager is responsible for driving new business growth across Bender UK’s healthcare portfolio within Ireland. The role focuses on identifying, developing, and converting new opportunities, building relationships across electrical contractors, healthcare estates, and clinical stakeholders. Operating in a predominantly new business (“hunter”) capacity, the role works across the full sales lifecycle, engaging customers early, developing opportunities, and securing orders, while supporting longer‑term relationship development across key healthcare accounts.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business activity across the healthcare sector, focusing on opportunity identification and pipeline growth.
- Build and develop relationships with electrical contractors, NHS/HSE estates teams, clinical engineers, and project stakeholders. Identify and progress opportunities across Bender’s healthcare product portfolio from initial engagement through to order.
- Manage and convert a strong pipeline of opportunities, maintaining clear visibility of progress and priorities.
- Deliver customer presentations, demonstrating the value and application of Bender’s solutions.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, ensuring strong technical positioning.
- Support tender activity where required, contributing to opportunity development and submission.
- Work with internal teams across Ireland, the UK, and Germany to support opportunity delivery and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer and pipeline data within CRM systems.
- Support account development activity, including engagement with existing customers to identify further opportunities.
- Manage pricing and margin performance in line with commercial targets. Respond to customer enquiries and provide timely follow‑up to sales activity.
- Represent Bender UK professionally across customer meetings, site visits, and industry engagement.

Essential
- Proven experience in a sales or commercial role, ideally within a technical or healthcare environment.
- Strong ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Commercial awareness, including pricing, negotiation, and margin management.
- Strong organisational and pipeline management capability. Full driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
Desirable
- Experience working with healthcare customers (NHS / HSE) or electrical contractors.
- Background in electrical, engineering, or technical sales environments.
- Experience managing sales of complex or project‑based solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
