About the role

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Digital team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a pivotal role that shapes how we use data to drive decisions and continuously improve services across the Ascenti Group.

As a key member of our data analytics function, you’ll be responsible for the continued development of our data warehouse, reporting suite, and business intelligence dashboards. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to understand data needs, develop insights, and enable better outcomes through informed decision-making. You’ll also support the adoption and understanding of dashboards, data quality audits, and compliance processes across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for data and experience with tools like SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI to make a real impact in a fast-evolving digital healthcare environment.

What you’ll be doing

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll:

  • Maintain and develop our data warehouse and dashboards using modern data warehousing techniques.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and design meaningful datasets and insights.
  • Lead the creation and upkeep of data glossaries and technical documentation.
  • Perform regular data quality checks and system audits to improve consistency and identify trends.
  • Respond to incidents and perform daily monitoring using data tools.
  • Ensure data protection and GDPR compliance across data warehousing and reporting activities.
  • Provide insight and evaluation of progress against analytics objectives, ensuring delivery of value for money.
  • Support transformation projects and act as a key contact for internal reporting needs.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications

  • Strong operational knowledge of modern data warehousing techniques and practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments and tools such as Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, Azure Purview and Azure SQL as a Service, etc.
  • Strong understanding of statistics and data modelling.
  • In-depth experience with SQL & Transact-SQL, manipulating large data sets in a relational database.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and QlikView.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer service experience.
  • Prior involvement with managing Management Information (MI) and reporting deadlines.
  • Strong timekeeping and project management skills, ideally with experience working within a formal project delivery framework (e.g. Scrum, Six-Sigma etc).
  • Effective verbal and written communication style.
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience in a senior data analytics role.
