Job Description

The Wren Sterling Marketing team is growing quickly to lead and support the growth of Wren Sterling and Magnus. This role would suit an ambitious marketer who wants to learn from experienced practitioners who sit across an end to end lead generation to client communication journey, straddling multiple distinct routes to market.

The Marketing team is a highly collaborative team formed of specialists who work together to accomplish tasks, so this is a broad, hands-on role supporting the Marketing team across Wren Sterling and Magnus. The role touches every area of the team's remit, with a particular emphasis on using AI and marketing technology to increase the quality and pace of what the team produces. The successful applicant will have the foundation to build a career in marketing in an organisation that is growing rapidly (headcount, office footprint and assets under management doubled to c.500 in 4 years)

Responsibilities

Include the following but not exclusive to:

  • Helping the team trial, document and roll out new AI and marketing technology, turning what works into simple, repeatable workflows the wider team can use
  • Supporting the creation of AI agents to enhance broader organisational relationship management
  • Maintaining stocks of physical content
  • Supporting the Marketing team to plan, deliver and report on campaigns to prospects and existing clients across Wren Sterling and Magnus
  • Writing and updating digital and print client communications, including website copy, client-facing literature, flyers and brochures, in line with brand guidelines and house style
  • Supporting the Head of Communications and Head of Investments Marketing to plan, schedule and post social media content on behalf of Wren Sterling and Magnus, and reporting on reach, engagement and impact
  • Maintaining website content and monitoring performance in our analytics tool, Dragon Metrics, flagging opportunities to improve and working with the Digital Marketing Manager to create content
  • Producing collateral and presentation materials for the Sales teams and for the wider Commercial and Executive teams using preset templates
  • Liaising with third party agencies and suppliers on day-to-day deliverables, tracking timelines and costs and escalating issues early
  • Supporting the Marketing team on key strategic projects, including the integration of acquired businesses and other projects as they arise
  • Attending project meetings on behalf of the Marketing team and reporting progress back to the Head of Growth Marketing
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Marketing degree or Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification at level 4, or equivalent marketing qualification

OR

  • 3 years’ marketing / communications experience

Desirable:

  • Financial planning or related industry experience
Experience
  • Understanding of how Marketing departments function in medium-sized businesses
  • Financial services / financial advice knowledge desirable but not essential. A willingness to quickly develop a baseline of understanding is more important
