              • Provide cover at other sites when required and support general administrative duties.
              • Build strong relationships with claimants, healthcare professionals, and the wider team.

                                      Remote, United Kingdom £39,500 - £48,000

Are you an experienced Functional Assessor, or a healthcare professional looking to start a new career path?

Embrace a fully remote role as a Functional Assessor and make a real difference in people's lives.

With a salary ranging from £39,500 to £48,000 depending on experience, you will benefit from annual pay reviews and a supportive, clinically-led environment.

Advo is a healthcare organisation through and through, with clinicians working in our highest management positions and shaping our group ethos.

With more than 10 years of experience delivering government assessment services and a commitment to professional development and training, Advo is an established provider and one of the best places to work as an assessor in the UK.

However, if you have never been a Functional Assessor before, don’t worry, we can support you in your career change with our accredited training programme and dedicated support structure.

You will play a crucial role in the functional and disability assessments process, a service that touches the lives of millions of people in the UK.

This will involve holding consultations and writing fair and accurate reports.

You will only work to assess people for PIP or a WCA, not both. As part of your application process, we will advise you on which service you will work on and discuss what your training will involve.

Starting salary from £41,612.00 per annum (location dependent)

Behind every assessment is a person who deserves to feel heard and understood.

At Advo Health, we support people at key moments in their lives. As part of the Ascenti Group, we deliver clinically led, high-quality assessment services that help individuals understand how their health affects their everyday activities and independence.

Our work is grounded in fairness, compassion and clinical integrity. Every assessment you complete plays an important role in ensuring claimants feel listened to, treated respectfully and supported throughout their journey.

If you are a healthcare professional looking to step away from hands-on clinical pressures, without stepping away from purpose, this could be the next chapter in your career.

                                      The role

As a Functional Assessor, your clinical knowledge will be utilised in a different but highly meaningful setting. You will work on either:

                                      • PIP (Personal Independence Payment) or
                                      • WCA (Work Capability Assessment)

Our Talent Team will support you in identifying the most suitable benefit based on your background and experience.

There is no requirement for previous Functional Assessor experience. Full training is provided.

This is a hybrid role, with around 60% face-to-face work in an assessment centre and 40% working from home, offering structure and balance, with no evenings or weekend shifts.

                                      What you will be doing

                                      • Holding telephone, video or in-person consultations with claimants
                                      • Assessing a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
