Your purpose
As the Business Intelligence Analyst at Ascenti, you’ll be responsible for leading the data migration process and developing the new data warehouse pipelines as we move to a new patient management system. Alongside this you will be responsible for development of new insights and reporting delivered through continual engagement with customers and users. You will provide training and support for dashboards and datasets to improve overall business insights for decision makers.

Ascenti Digital specializes in the delivery of digitally enabled physiotherapy, musculoskeletal (MSK), and mental health services for the Ascenti Group. Our bespoke workflow management, booking, and clinical notes platforms provide cutting edge experiences for employees, partners, and patients.
As a core member of the data analytics function, the Business Intelligence Analyst will report into the Group Head of Data & Insight to continue the development of our BI capability as well as act as a project lead for the data migration project.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the data migration process and development of new data warehouse pipelines to our new Patient Management System.
- Maintain and develop data dashboards and reports using the latest technologies and techniques.
- Work with project sponsors and customers to understand requirements for the creation of dashboards and datasets.
- Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve queries and perform end-user training on MI suite.
- Produce documentation in support of delivered projects.
- Perform data quality and system audits to improve data consistency and identify trends.
- Make daily checks using data monitoring tools and perform incident response for failures.
Knowledge, experience, and qualifications
- Excellent understanding of SQL.
- Ability to create and maintain Power BI paginated reports.
- Expert power user within Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Power BI dashboard development and tooling.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL syntax.
- Experience of working with data flow and ETL tools (e.g. Azure Synapse).
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer service experience.
- Prior involvement with data migration projects.
- Strong timekeeping and project management skills, ideally with experience working within a formal project delivery framework (e.g. Scrum, Six-Sigma etc.).
- Effective verbal and written communication style.
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computing, or experience in a senior data analytics role.

This is a broad and influential role, leading our Group Risk & Compliance function and providing expertise, challenge and guidance across a wide range of areas.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing and continuously improving our Group risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring they remain effective, proportionate and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Establishing and monitoring our risk register, working with senior stakeholders to identify risks and ensure appropriate mitigations are in place.
- Leading our corporate compliance framework across areas including data protection, information governance, health & safety, ISO standards and corporate risk.
- Acting as our Data Protection lead, working alongside our external Data Protection Officer and overseeing GDPR compliance, policies, training, data processing activity and privacy impact assessments.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an established Risk & Compliance professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with pragmatic, commercially aware leadership.
You’ll bring:
- Significant experience working within compliance, risk management or a related discipline, ideally within a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and ISO standards.
- Experience across areas such as data protection, information governance, health & safety and corporate compliance.
- A proven track record in risk management, incident handling and developing effective compliance frameworks.
- Experience leading audits, customer due diligence and supply chain compliance.

As a Functional Assessor, your clinical knowledge will be utilised in a different but highly meaningful setting. You will work on either:
- PIP (Personal Independence Payment) or
- WCA (Work Capability Assessment)

There is no requirement for previous Functional Assessor experience. Full training is provided.

Your purpose
As an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) you will be a clinical leader within Ascenti and work at the highest level to promote research-informed practice and clinical excellence across all that we do.
You will provide an advanced level of care to NHS patients presenting with a variety of complex conditions, using contemporary evidence-informed methodologies and with the technology, tools, and support that you need to thrive as an APP.
How your role fits within our team
You will work on your own in clinic or from home, but you will never feel alone.
As an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) you will collaborate with a range of other senior staff and departments across Ascenti, helping to shape our clinical philosophy and development curriculum.
You will also work closely with partners from the NHS service you work on and the managers in your region, at the same time as using our modern online tools to connected with our wider community of 300+ Ascenti physiotherapists.
Key responsibilities
- Managing patients Independently manage your own clinical caseload of NHS patients presenting with a wide variety of complex conditions and goals.
- Use high quality neuromusculoskeletal assessment skills to develop evidence-informed and highly effective management plans, utilising advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of complex and / or chronic presentation.
- Determine clinical diagnosis and formulate individualised management and treatment plans, which may include: advice and discharge, referral to physiotherapy or other professions for management, request further investigations and diagnostic procedures (MRI, X-rays, blood tests) and interpret these in order to appropriately lead the assessment and direction of the patient’s pathway of care.
- Work to fully understand the wider integrated NHS MSK service and local pathways across primary care, secondary care, and the voluntary sector, including referral criteria and scope of services.
- Use your outstanding and well-developed patient communication skills to build rapport and inspire trust, managing sensitive subjects and cultural differences diplomatically and professionally.
- Manage high quality patient notes, future appointments, PROMS (patient reported outcome measures) and compliance using the appropriate NHS and Ascenti systems.
Quality & safety
Maintain high standards of professional conduct and abide by core standards of practice outlined by the HCPC and CSP.
Complete advanced physiotherapy training modules and uphold these standards across all that you do.
Work closely with your manager to identify and manage any risks that may affect quality of care or service.

- Work closely with our Clinical Development Team and your regional training leads to collaborate on any complex cases and advance your practice and the practice of others.

- Attend regular online and offline courses and events, that will contribute to your development as a practitioner and keep up-to-date records of your CPD achievements.
Collaboration
- Build strong working relationships with your NHS colleagues, regional physiotherapy team and contract providers and partners.
- Develop strong links with secondary care providers in your area, enabling fast track referrals to specialists and consultants for patients who may need further intervention.
- Act as the first port of call for expertise in the management of musculoskeletal conditions in your area, providing advice to patients, physiotherapists, other healthcare professionals, GPs and consultants.

Knowledge experience and qualifications
Knowledge/skills
- Performing treatment interventions appropriately for this advanced level of clinical care.
- Conducting advanced clinical assessments and prescribing evidence-based treatment plans.
- Core standards of physiotherapy practice and code of conducted outlined by the HCPC and CSP.
- Excellent IT skills and computer literacy. Strong verbal patient communication skills.
- Appreciation of ethical obligations in physiotherapy, with a strong sense of professional integrity.
- Understanding of safety and legal obligations, including patient rights and consent.
- Knowledge of emerging clinical trends and contemporary best practice. Mentoring or clinical leadership skills.
Experience
- Extensive post registration experience working at a senior level within speciality area (at least five years in MSK field).
- Demonstrable experience in ordering and interpreting diagnostics and histology results.
- Identifying adverse events/near misses and minimises risk associated with assessment and intervention.
- Evidence of conducting initial assessments, providing diagnosis, and prescribing advanced treatment plans across a wide range of complex MSK conditions.
- Track record of strong people skills and outstanding communication with patients.
- Using communication skills effectively and working collaboratively as part of a team or with other physiotherapists.
- Evidence of reading / studying in the English language and producing well-structured written documents or reports.
Qualifications /membership
- Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) recognised degree or diploma in physiotherapy.
- Post-registration qualification (MSc or equivalent) in Advanced Practice, Orthopaedic Medicine or equivalent.
- MSc module / diploma in injection therapy (or working towards).
- Full Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) membership.
- Full Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) membership.
- CPD folder with evidence of continued professional development.
- Enhanced DBS check.

Your purpose
Our Physiotherapy Development Lead will play a leading role in advancing our patient care standards and clinical excellence, taking Ascenti to the next level.
You will empower our Leadership Team to build the clinical capability of their teams, plan and manage clinical skills development and upgrading, leading specialist clinical training across your region; at the same time as being on hand to provide expert clinical advice and direction where needed.
Building strong relationships within your partner region, you will provide top quality advice about clinical standards and the optimal development of each individual clinician. You’ll ensure that we live our values from the inside out, particularly in relation to safeguarding, patient safety and clinical procedures.
How your role fits within our team
The Physiotherapy Development Lead will report to the Area Leadership Team and will have a dotted-line to our Head of Clinical Excellence. You’ll be a senior MSK physiotherapist, so you’ll know what best practice looks like and you’ll role model this in your everyday work.
You’ll be responsible for facilitating the clinical development and empowering high performance of all clinicians within your region. Clinicians will seek you out when they need advice and support in their clinical practice; particularly when a clinical mentor suggests that a more complex or serious case, needs a more experienced hand to resolve.
Key responsibilities
In addition to your normal duties and responsibilities of a physiotherapist, your role has following additional responsibilities:
United - collaboration
- Identifying learning and development needs of your team of clinicians and addressing them directly and through your team of mentors; ensuring that all physiotherapists maintain required records of their continuous professional development
- Support area and regional managers with the induction processes
- Assisting, where needed, in clinical processes such as the promotion pathway and assessment and addressing any practice concerns amongst your team
- Supporting Ascenti’s culture of recognition and our commitment to high performing teams, by identifying clinicians who demonstrate excellence in their practice
- Promote staff wellbeing, engagement and collaboration; through technology, development programs and company-wide initiatives. This helps to create a safe environment where colleagues feel safe and bring their true selves to work, promoting a culture of openness, diversity and healthy well-being
Dependable – clinical excellence
- Act as the clinical expert and role model for your region; be available and confident to answer complex clinical questions
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct and abide by core standards of practice outlined by the HCPC and CSP
- Delivering one-to-one and group training, both face-to-face and remotely
- Coaching and developing a team of clinical mentors to deliver effective teaching sessions
- Ensuring the consistent application of our clinical development programme in line with regional and individual learning needs
- Effectively managing patients with complex conditions using a wide range of advanced physiotherapy skills, including injection therapy (where appropriate), manual physiotherapy techniques, self-management advice, virtual physiotherapy and therapeutic handling
Caring - performance and reporting
- Taking responsibility for the clinical quality and performance metrics of your region by regularly evaluating clinical data; identifying and implementing improvement strategies, where necessary, to deliver excellent outcomes and experience to all patients and clients
- Demonstrate a broad range of advanced and specialised communications skills (with patients, physiotherapists, mentors, managers, peers) including appropriate written communication and the ability to engage in critical dialogue with a range of audiences of different levels of knowledge and expertise
- Manage complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Support the regional managers and area managers with the SASSY policy
- Demonstrating excellence in report writing and records keeping on the Ascenti IT system
- Keeping up with best practice, ensuring that our services are delivered in line with our high standards
