About the role
We're looking for a Customer Coordinator to join our Advo Health team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a vital customer-facing role within our government health assessments service, responsible for ensuring a positive claimant journey throughout the assessment process.
You'll be the first point of contact for claimants attending disability assessments, delivering that crucial great first impression that contributes to our 95%+ positive experience rating. Working from an Assessment Centre with hybrid working opportunities, you'll support both claimants and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth, productive assessment days with minimal impact on those we serve.

What you'll be doing
As a Customer Coordinator, you'll:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Assessment Centre reception area.
- Conduct courtesy calls with claimants in advance of their appointments.
- Assist customers with form completion including expense claims.
- Use in-house computer systems to update records accurately and reschedule appointments when needed.
- Advise healthcare professionals and management teams of additional claimant needs.
- Prepare and maintain assessment rooms and equipment to ensure readiness for assessments.
- Maintain a clean and professional workspace that creates a welcoming environment.
- Escalate any accidents, incidents or inappropriate behaviour immediately.
- Provide cover at other sites when required and support general administrative duties.
- Build strong relationships with claimants, healthcare professionals, and the wider team.

The Governance Officer role is to support the governance and continuous improvement activities that keep our colleagues and claimants safe in the delivery of the Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS).

- Support with reporting in relation to complaints, incidents, and safeguarding concerns, ensuring all parties are operating within expected timeframes and policies and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

- Provide efficient administrative support to the clinical performance team, working to monitor and meet key Target Performance Levels (TPLs).
- Support with the escalation of complaint processes, such as instances of multiple complaints, professional body enquiries, and referrals.
- Monitor the effectiveness of relevant policies and procedures with consideration for how they link into the DWP, our customers, and the wider Ascenti Group Support Functions.
- Maintain document control processes to ensure relevant compliance.
- Make best use of technology and management information to effectively analyse performance, enabling the team to understand key drivers and implement continuous improvement.
- Effective reporting on real-time performance. When required, explain any deviations from targets and outline agreed corrective action plans

Your purpose
As the Clinical Performance Lead (PIP), you will be responsible for overseeing the PIP clinical performance within your team. This includes managing quality standards, productivity, staff development, and meeting service level performance targets.
You will provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality reports while developing and implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement and enhance performance. Your role involves direct management of clinical roles within your team, motivating and coaching team members, and utilising technology and performance metrics to enhance productivity and quality. You will also maintain approval status by conducting a sufficient volume of clinical assessments to stay proficient and serve as a role model for your team.

- Support and lead on all PIP clinical-related performance metrics within the team and implement strategies to continuously enhance performance.
- Provide visible leadership and direction to PIP Healthcare Professionals to enable the effective delivery of quality expectations, volume delivery, and customer service-related measures.
- Deliver team objectives and performance against targets through robust performance management methods.
- Motivate, inspire, and coach team members through continuous professional development, recognising exceptional performance, and developing team members with potential in support of effective succession planning.
- Utilise technology and management information to effectively analyse performance and implement actions to enhance quality and productivity.
- Support in the investigation of customer complaints and escalate serious complaints as required.

The role
You will play a key role in making sure our People processes run effectively, accurately and with the right level of care.
You will lead a team of People Coordinators, support day to day operations, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure everything from onboarding to payroll support runs smoothly.
This role is a mix of leadership, delivery and continuous improvement.
What you will be doing
Leading and developing a team
- Line manage People Coordinators, including 1:1s and performance reviews
- Support their development and day-to-day delivery
- Provide guidance and technical support across the team
Driving smooth onboarding & compliance
- Oversee onboarding processes across your business area
- Ensure compliance checks (RTW, DBS, BPSS, references) are completed accurately and on time
- Identify and resolve any delays or issues proactively
Owning operational excellence
- Act as a key contact for people-related queries
- Support payroll processes (absence, sickness, employee data)
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance
Improving processes & systems
- Be a process champion, always looking for ways to improve efficiency
- Support system usage and data integrity within HR systems
- Work closely with the wider People Team and stakeholders
Supporting projects & change
- Contribute to key People projects and initiatives
- Support continuous improvement across People Operations

Advo Health is the largest and leading subcontractor in government health assessments. Carried out by our community of experienced healthcare professionals throughout the UK, these independent assessments help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to understand how a health condition or disability is affecting a claimant's daily life. This ensures that the system is fair and that those who are most in need of help and support receive it.
Your purpose
You will be responsible for the WCA (Work Capability Assessment) delivery in relation to volume, quality, productivity, and other applicable service level performance targets of an Assessment Centre (AC) or a group of smaller ACs. The role is responsible for leadership and oversight of AC operations, including assessments, customer service, facilities, and health & safety. In addition to the development and implementation of strategies to drive continuous improvement and enhanced performance. The role will have line management responsibility of a team of Healthcare Professionals with work conducted both on site and remotely.
How your role fits within our team
As the WCA Operations Manager you report directly to the WCA Senior Operations Manager and will be a key member of the management team. You will be working closely with the Advo senior leadership team across both operational and clinical specialisms and broader stakeholders. You will be instrumental to delivery of the service and leading on day-to-day performance requirements within the AC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on all WCA related performance metrics within the AC and implement strategies to continuously enhance performance and efficiency.

Your purpose
As the Clinical Performance Lead (PIP), you will be responsible for overseeing the PIP clinical performance within your team. This includes managing quality standards, productivity, staff development, and meeting service level performance targets.
You will provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of consistent, high-quality reports while developing and implementing strategies to drive continuous improvement and enhance performance. Your role involves direct management of clinical roles within your team, motivating and coaching team members, and utilising technology and performance metrics to enhance productivity and quality. You will also maintain approval status by conducting a sufficient volume of clinical assessments to stay proficient and serve as a role model for your team.
How your role fits within our team
As a Clinical Performance Lead, you will report directly to the Assessment Centre Manager and be a key member of the team responsible for driving clinical excellence. You will work closely with the Advo management team, engaging with both operational and clinical specialists, as well as broader stakeholders. Your role will be instrumental in delivering the service and leading on day-to-day clinical performance requirements within your team. This includes driving clinical excellence, supporting your colleagues, and ensuring that quality and performance targets are consistently met. You will be pivotal in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and clinical excellence within the team.
Key responsibilities
- Support and lead on all PIP clinical-related performance metrics within the team and implement strategies to continuously enhance performance.
- Provide visible leadership and direction to PIP Healthcare Professionals to enable the effective delivery of quality expectations, volume delivery, and customer service-related measures.
- Deliver team objectives and performance against targets through robust performance management methods.
- Motivate, inspire, and coach team members through continuous professional development, recognising exceptional performance, and developing team members with potential in support of effective succession planning.
- Utilise technology and management information to effectively analyse performance and implement actions to enhance quality and productivity.
- Support in the investigation of customer complaints and escalate serious complaints as required.
- Effective reporting of performance metrics. Where necessary, provide an explanation of deviation from targets and plans for corrective actions as agreed.
- Communicate changes in assessment procedures and best practice requirements.
- Ensure strong working relationships and facilitate communication and engagement, whilst building a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to the governance structure in place, ensuring requirements are met, and equally knowing when to escalate.

- WCA (Work Capability Assessment)

There is no requirement for previous Functional Assessor experience. Full training is provided.
This is a hybrid role, with around 60% face-to-face work in an assessment centre and 40% working from home, offering structure and balance, with no evenings or weekend shifts.
What you will be doing
- Holding telephone, video or in-person consultations with claimants
- Assessing a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
- Applying clinical reasoning to understand how health impacts daily living
- Using strong IT and written communication skills to listen and produce accurate, evidence-based reports at the same time
- Working closely with your manager to support your development as a Functional Assessor
Who we are looking for
We welcome applications from registered healthcare professionals with at least 12 months post-registration experience, including:
- Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD)
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Paramedics
- Pharmacists
You will need full registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC, and confidence using IT systems alongside your clinical judgement.
