An opportunity has arisen to join the audit, accounting and advisory team as a senior adviser, in a part or post exam qualified role. This opportunity is on the back of continued growth in our client base.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already has significant audit experience working within an audit or a mixed audit and accounting role, and who is seeking to progress and personally develop in their audit career.
What the role involves:
You will be a part of our audit team, providing an excellent service to a large range of corporate clients and business owners, of which circa 75% of the role will be working on statutory audits. The remaining time will be spent on year end accounts preparation and ad hoc advisory projects for clients.
Your work will be based at clients’ premises, predominantly around Lancashire and Greater Manchester, and in our offices. We adopt a flexible working policy and so some time may also be spent at home. You will start by building on your existing experience, reporting to managers, directors and partners and by effectively managing teams to deliver high quality, efficient audits. Developing strong client relationships as quickly as possible will be paramount. You will start to have client contact from day one as well as working closely with corporate tax colleagues.
You will also have responsibility for training and developing less experienced members of the audit team as well as identifying ways in which we can improve quality and efficiency. As your experience grows, you will be able to take responsibility for smaller audits and reporting direct to Responsible Individuals. Beyond that, we expect progression to be to Assistant Manager, Manager and beyond if this is how you wish your career to unfold.

You will be a trusted adviser as part of our audit team, providing an excellent service to a large range of corporate clients and business owners, of which circa 75% of the role will be working on statutory audits. Who we are looking for:
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has approx. 3 consecutive years’ experience working within an accountancy practice and has either completed or is working towards a professional accountancy qualification. Knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero and Dext is crucial, and experience in preparing year end accounts is beneficial.
What the role involves:
• Outsourcing tasks, including bookkeeping and payment runs, using a variety of cloud-based software and applications
• Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns
• Preparation of management information and advisory reporting, such as forecasting, budgets and cashflows, in-house and at client's premises
• Preparation of year-end accounts
• Preparation of corporate tax returns, including analysis of tax-sensitive nominals
• Assisting with cloud accounting projects, such as system conversions and healthchecks
• Training clients in the use of cloud accounting software in-house and at client's premises
• Completing and assisting with the completion of ad hoc tasks and duties typical to cloud accounting services
• Researching and investigating cloud accounting solutions for use in client service delivery, including attending relevant external events where appropriate
• Being a trusted adviser to our clients, forming excellent relationships

Who we are looking for:
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has experience within a Payroll Bureau managerial position, to work as part of the Payroll team to provide an excellent service to our client portfolio. We are looking for someone who will be integral to supporting and developing the team.
What the role involves:
Based in our Blackburn office and reporting directly to our Payroll Director, you will be involved in:
• Receiving and processing payroll details from clients, by e-mail, telephone and via the portal with your own client portfolio.
• Maintaining the payrolls within the payroll portal, generating reports as required and transmission of Real Time data to HMRC.
• Creating BACS files and transmitting the same.
• Dealing with queries, raised by HMRC, concerning client payrolls, as well as queries raised by clients and be responsible for escalated queries within the team.
• Assisting in generating new work for the Payroll Bureau as well as identifying possible additional work opportunities for the practice.
• Taking ownership of networking and marketing events, including presenting where necessary.
• Actively supporting and assisting in the coaching and development of other members of the PM+M team and carrying out performance reviews as the reviewer.
• Overseeing the more complex clients within the team and support with the reviewing of payroll work carried out in the department.
• Actively encouraging the use of internal training tools and opportunities to the wider team.
• Carrying out AML checks and assisting the Partners/Directors in ensuring the timely completion of internal AML forms.
• Using initiative in driving internal procedures within the team, both maintaining and development.
• Onboarding new clients, including liaising with previous providers in obtaining data and assisting in a timely manner with the issuing of engagement letters.
• Actively managing the day-to-day workflow and distribution of client portfolios.
• Assisting in the preparation of fee quotes for new work.
• Assisting in the monthly billing procedure to ensure we capture all work undertaken and bill promptly.
