We have an exciting opportunity for 2 experienced Service Engineers within the Decontamination Field.
- 1 covering Bristol
- 1 covering South East/South West
THE ROLE
The role is responsible for the maintenance, validation, fault diagnosis and repair of decontamination equipment including washer disinfectors, porous load sterilizers, endoscope reprocessors and associated plant across NHS and private healthcare facilities. Supporting compliance with HTM 01-01, HTM 01-06 guidance and ensure equipment remains safe, operational and available for patient services. This is a field-based role requiring travel to customer sites throughout the region.
KEY RESPSONSIBILTIES
- Carry out validation, verification and requalification activities in accordance with HTM 01-01 and HTM 01-06.
- Undertake testing and performance qualification of washer disinfectors, sterilizers, automated endoscope reprocessors (AERs) and ultrasonic cleaning equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults relating to autoclaves, washer disinfectors, AER's, steam generation.
- Undertake scheduled PPM Maintenance, Servicing, Validation and Modification
- Ensuring best practise in the maintenance, control and observance of engineering process and procedures for Servicing and Repair
- Undertake Emergency Repair and Rectification Partake in the Company on call rota system, as required by the business
- Carry out testing to HTM 01 to ensure equipment meets recognized performance standards for production of clean instruments used in patient treatment
- Provide user and Approved Person with detailed test results for evidence of compliant equipment to QA standards of that department
- Carry out user training in the operation of equipment to ensure that staff are competent
- Ensure continuity of service, i.e. availability of equipment in order that patient activity can be maintained
- Ensure that a personal CPD log is maintained to evidence training and competencies
- Provide accurate and up to date records in accordance with HTM 01 to ensure that QA nonconformities are minimized
- Participate in training and education of machine operatives
- Test viability of sterilization and disinfection procedures for new surgical equipment to ensure safe use
- Ensuring that MHRA Device Alerts are read and Serious Equipment Failure signals are actioned where necessary
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining decontamination equipment is essential.
- A National Certificate or National Diploma in engineering or technology accredited, registered electrical/fitting/plumbing apprenticeship
- Strong understanding of HTM 01-01, HTM 01-06 and decontamination best practice.
- Experience maintaining and validating decontamination equipment including washer disinfectors, sterilizers/autoclaves, endoscope reprocessors and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Ability to fault find & problem solve
- Ability to interpret complex information and range of options
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Excellent organisational & time management & administration skills
- Able to communicate with internal staff and key contacts at contracts
- Attention to detail Initiative and drive to work independently
- Specialist training to accredited standard for competent person status experience in maintenance works
THE TERMS
Contract Term: Permanent
Hours of Work: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday - 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Annual Leave: 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service to a maximum of 28 days)
Salary: £42,000.00 to £50,000 (dependant on experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solution Sales Manager join our Sales Team. This role is remote.
THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to generate new business growth across Avensys' healthcare solutions portfolio. Operating within the UK healthcare sector, this role focuses on delivering tailored, value-driven solutions to NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, and clinical organisations. Through a consultative and solution-based sales approach, the Solutions Sales Manager identifies customer needs, builds strong stakeholder relationships, and closes business using integrated service proposals that enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
This is a proactive sales role focused on prospecting, pipeline generation, opportunity creation, tender identification, and converting opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate new business opportunities across Avensys' full range of healthcare services, including biomedical engineering support, managed equipment services, equipment lifecycle management, endoscope maintenance, equipment resale/disposal, and technical training solutions
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline within NHS and private healthcare markets.
- Identify, pursue and secure new contracts across Avensys' service portfolio.
- Adopt a consultative sales approach to promote integrated service solutions that optimise clinical operations, improve cost-efficiency, and support compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including procurement leads, clinical engineering teams, service managers, and senior healthcare executives.
- Transition newly secured business to operational teams whilst maintaining executive-level relationships to support future growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed revenue and growth targets across all relevant service lines.
- Leverage market insights to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, particularly within Managed Equipment Services (MES), equipment resales and disposal, and technical training solutions.
- Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality proposals, bids, and tender responses aligned with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal technical and operational teams to craft commercially viable and technically robust solutions.
- Monitor trends and changes in the UK healthcare market, NHS procurement models, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and value proposition development.
- Identify emerging needs in the healthcare sector, particularly around sustainability, digital transformation, and end-to-end lifecycle management.
- Work closely with service delivery, engineering, and training teams to ensure seamless implementation of contracted services.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal departments to ensure alignment of expectations, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, customer interactions, and forecasting using CRM tools.
- Collaboration with the senior leadership team to set and review revenue goals that are aligned with the company strategy.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales performance, pipeline health, and strategic risks or opportunities.
- Assist with the leadership and development of training plans and KPIs for the extended sales team.
- Ensure all sales activities adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards relevant to the healthcare sector.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven track record in a Business Development, Sales, or Commercial role within healthcare, medical devices, healthcare services, clinical engineering, or a related sector.
- Demonstrable success in generating and securing new business opportunities.
- Experience selling complex solutions and services through a consultative sales approach.
- Strong understanding of NHS procurement processes and/or private healthcare purchasing environments.
- Excellent commercial negotiation and closing skills.
- Experience identifying and responding to tenders, frameworks, and competitive procurement opportunities.
- Strong networking, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing abilities.
- Self-motivated, highly organised, and capable of managing a national sales territory.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and forecasting activities.
- Business/ Sales related degree or other qualification.
- Knowledge and experience within Healthcare
- Knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ISO13485:2016 and ISO 14001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
- Managed Equipment Service knowledge and understanding.
- Ability to evidence to clients and stakeholders the company’s value proposition.
