Location: Part time in the office in Whitefield, Manchester – 15 hours per week

Role Overview

As an HR Administrator, you will support the business by delivering a comprehensive HR service. This role involves assisting with the day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee record management, and compliance tasks. You will be the first point of contact for employee queries and will help ensure smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment Support: Assist with job postings, candidate scheduling, and preparing contracts for new hires.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Manage the full onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions.
  • Employee Record Management: Maintain accurate employee records and update the system with changes to personal data and absences.
  • Payroll Support: Provide payroll with accurate employee information and assist with benefits and pension schemes.
  • Compliance & Vetting: Support the compliance team with right-to-work, DBS checks, and support audits.
  • Employee Relations Support: Act as the first point of contact for general HR queries and assist with ER documentation.
  • General HR Administration: Support the business and wider teams with administrative tasks and HR-related communications.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised HR Administrator who can manage multiple tasks effectively and provide reliable support to the HR Manager. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in HR Administration: Previous experience in a similar HR support role.
  • Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Payroll Knowledge: Experience in supporting payroll functions is advantageous.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Compliance Awareness: Understanding of employment law, GDPR, and right-to-work requirements.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing records and documentation.
  • Team Player: Willingness to support the team and build positive relationships across the business.
