What are we looking for?
We are looking for high calibre, professional Class 2 drivers to join our team serving the motor industry, including manufacturers, dealer networks and auction houses, throughout the UK & Ireland.
We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified Class 2 drivers who are eager to progress to Class 1 in the future.
This role could also appeal to inexperienced class 1 drivers as the role could offer the opportunity to cover Class 1 vehicles during holiday periods, providing valuable experience to help you make the transition to Class 1 at a later date.

The Role and Responsibilities:
Based at the Eastern Docks in Southampton (Dock Gate 20) you will be inspecting & transporting customer cars, mainly to private and business addresses, around the U.K. whilst meeting Company, customer and legal requirements. You will also provide a first class customer handover experience. This will be completed using a single car enclosed transporter. Good clean work with high profile customers within the car industry.
Rates of pay:
OTE £36,500 + Overtime & Night Out Allowance
Essential Criteria:
Class 2 (C) licence.
Digital tachograph card and driver's CPC qualification card.
Well presented, professional individual with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Familiar with operating in-car infotainment systems and hand-held electronic devices including tablets & smart phones.
Able to maintain a good standard of driving.
Clean license preferable but up to a maximum 6 points is acceptable.
Able to demonstrate right to work in the UK.
Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and WTD regulations.
Full flexibility is required to fulfil the operational needs of the business including nights away when required.
Desirable Criteria:
Previous experience working within the automotive industry.
Training:
Full training on transporter equipment and all aspects of the role is provided on a one-on-one basis with one of our Driver Trainers.
