Job description
To ensure packaging is correctly counted, highlighting low stocks and challengindg stock discrepancies. Ensure stock is correctly labelled and the ERP system is updated. Liaise with the Buyers when stocks have a discrepancy. Packaging meets hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Move packaging around site using appropriate MHE equipment and ensure all pallet movements are scanned in and out of location.
- On occasions receiving packaging deliveries accurately onto an ERP system and producing/applying traceability and pallet labels.
- Reporting packaging discrepancies, quality issues and potential shortages to the Team Leader.
- Highlight low stock lines to the buyers.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the business processes of the packaging area and report them to the Team Leader.
- Record all packaging movements in and out of the issue area.
- Ensure all packaging is covered and has traceability labels.
- Count and check stock ensuring the system is updated including cycle counting. • Maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene, housekeeping and contamination practices and standards in your work area.
- To ensure all erected boxes are stored correctly, and in a safe and tidy manor and clean at all times.
- Faulty and/or damaged packaging to be quarantined in the designated area and complete paperwork to send to the buyers.
- Communicate effectively with production and the warehouse team.
- Assist with administrative duties to maintain an efficient office system for access to all delivery notes and invoice processing.
- Physical checking of stock as and when requested.
- Assist with the checking of delivery notes and scanned and filed in a timely manner onto the central system.
- Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene on site. This includes following all company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices to ensure that food products are safe, compliant, and of the highest quality.

Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent English and Maths
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong Administrative experience
- Good organisational skills
- Prophet or similar ERP system experience preferrable
- Results focussed along with analytical thinking
- Numerate
- Initiative and flexibility in thinking and approach
- Driving for excellence with a customer understanding
