Job description

Lead the intake quality team. Ensure all product arriving on site is checked against customer requirements and reported accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Manage intake quality team
  • Ensure that accurate QC reports are completed and input on the system
  • To work safely and report any hazards or near misses
  • Maintain hygiene standards with the QC controlled areas
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the specifications required for each customer and product line
  • Ensure that all temperature logs and recorders are identified, downloaded and sent to the customer with the QC reports
  • Ensure that in the instance that a potential claim is identified that the Customer is contacted and are supplied with the QA reports prior to sending information to the suppliers
  • Ensure that the Customers required quality standards are efficiently and effectively always maintained
  • Effectively communicate to customers and suppliers where necessary
  • Ensure that equipment is correctly calibrated, and all faulty or damaged equipment is reported to the QA Shift Manager
  • Provide training for new members of the intake QC team included temporary agency staff
  • Ensure all team has relevant trainings for the role and training records available in training system
  • To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of the department as set by the Quality shift Manager and the needs of the business.
  • To maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene and housekeeping (clean as you go)

Qualifications

  • 1 year QC experience required
  • Good level of English
  • Good level of fresh produce knowledge
  • Preferable supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Can do attitude
  • Problem solving
  • Being able to work to tight deadlines
