Job description
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analysing business system processes to identify opportunities for improvement and to support the implementation of effective technology solutions. The role serves as a key interface between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that systems are aligned with organisational objectives and user requirements.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
• Produce documentation such as functional specifications and use cases.
Process Improvement
• Evaluate current business systems processes and systems to identify inefficiencies or areas for enhancement.
• Recommend and support the implementation of improvements, including automation and system upgrades.
System Implementation & Support
• Contribute to the selection, configuration, testing, and deployment of business systems.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for implemented solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external suppliers.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings and proposals.
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of systems, processes, and changes.
• Develop reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
Training & Change Management
• Assist with user training and change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
Qualifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in business analysis tools
• Understanding of enterprise systems
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
