Job description
To ensure that all operational processes, including picking, moving stock, and unloading, are completed safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner to meet both Company and customer requirements. This includes operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) for loading, unloading, and stock movement while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Accurately select items from storage locations according to order specifications using handheld devices.
- Ensure accurate picking for allocated customers and all specifications are followed.
- Picking and labelling items for dispatch - ensure when picking correct SSCC labels are applied.
- Ensure when moving stock with MHE it is safe and has the correct label applied before movement.
- Ensure products been moved to correct storage areas
- Ensure that correct fruits been presented for production to start/finish customer orders on time.
- Ensure you always follow H&S policies and procedures including checks of MHE.
- Clean as you go - ensuring that the warehouse area is clean and always organized
- Ensure accurate pallet/location scanning is performed
- Work to loading times so that picked product is delivered to the customer on time and load pallets in a safe manner
- Handle product correctly to ensure that quality isn’t impaired
- Mix pallets accurately and ensure that the pallet is to customer specification with regards to presentation.
- Scan all pallets to load plan ensuring that pallet information is recorded.
- For Intake, unloading of vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- For Receiving to check loads accurately ensuring pallets are received accurately and apply labels to the correct pallets.
- To ensure all paperwork is completed to a satisfactory level, this includes but not limited to Intake Sheets, Pick lists, Load Plans & MHE Check Sheets.
- Support the Warehouse in achieving and maintaining a productive, quality focused and cost-effective operation, by optimization of all resources and materials.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the business processes of the Warehouse.
- Adhere to all relevant customer, industry and legislative standards i.e. British Retail Consortium (BRC), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Tesco Produce Packing Standards (TPPS).
- Communicate effectively with the Warehouse management and Warehouse admin and report any non-conformances or discrepancy.
- Supply products to the packing lines to meet production requirements and timelines.

Qualifications
- Basic level of understanding of written and verbal English
- Basic understanding of written Maths
- Able to lift (manual handling)
- Agility
- Confident driving MHE
- Meet deadlines
- Previous experience of working in a Warehouse environment
- Ability to work to challenging deadlines in a pressurised environment
