Job description

To supervise and lead a multi-disciplined team delivering the highest levels of service and support to the Production shift manager in supervising a section of production. Key Focus area is the elimination of any non-value-added time or activity in production supply and the accurate recording of all ERP transactions to ensure smooth and seamless operation. Continuously look to develop and improve key work processes and develop better, faster, more efficient ways of doing things.

Responsibilities

Management of Support team inclusive of all Production Stock Movers, Production Operatives, Production Line Leaders.

  • Control the ordering and supply of fruit to producing lines to ensure zero lost time and full transactional traceability – all movements recorded on system.
  • Control the ordering and supply to producing lines of key packaging line items.
  • Liaison with Production Admin ensuring customer orders are achieved and production made available.
  • Maintain simple system of production supply of Trays / Pallets using pre-designed Kanban system in Warehouse and production area.
  • Proactively ensure that health and safety best practice is followed and adhered to at all times by all team members.
  • Engage with shift teams to ensure a daily Green Audit achieved in Housekeeping across all areas.
  • Ensure maintenance of Food Safety and product integrity throughout all of the Hygiene activities carried out to ensure safe and legal product production.
  • To understand, develop, and maintain hygiene SOPs and CICs.
  • To ensure hygiene activities are carried out to optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain an audit ready environment at all times.
  • Ensure the team maintain compliance with our customer standards and BRC food standards.

Qualifications

  • A good standard of education including Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of MS Office including Excel and Word
  • Ability to make confident and effective decisions
