Job description

Responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our facilities across the site.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and address issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule and complete maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Manage and oversee external contractors for specialised maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of facility upgrades and renovations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Any additional tasks that will arise within the remit of a Facilities Maintenance Technician

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.
  • Relevant certifications or vocational training in facilities maintenance or related fields is a plus.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects as required.
