We have an exciting opportunity within our Underwriting team for a Commercial Underwriter, this role will be based in Jersey or Guernsey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in insurance and is interested in underwriting, looking to take the next step in their career. Successful applicants should have:

• Experience in underwriting or commercial insurance, with expertise in assessing and underwriting commercial policies.

• A strong understanding of commercial insurance products, risk assessment, underwriting guidelines, and market trends.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work with brokers, clients, and internal teams.

• Familiarity with industry regulations and a keen attention to detail in risk assessment and policy evaluation.

• Qualifications in insurance (preferred), critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to handle complex cases under pressure.
