Pesticide Compliance Manager

We are looking for a Pesticide Compliance Manager to join our Responsible Sourcing Team!

As such we are looking for a superstar Pesticide Compliance Manager based in, Kent, working full-time. The candidate will work on and take ownership of our pesticide compliance across a wide range of products and geographies and our global suppliers to maintain our food safety due diligence and monitor our environmental impacts, which is central to our commitment to Operating Responsibly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the supplier and customer PPP and PPPL derogation process in Food Experts.

• Work with suppliers to obtain details required to submit PPP concessions to customers. Use the data to develop and share reduction plans for key customers.

• Assist in compiling and reviewing pesticide compliance documentation for compliance, including spray records, PPPLs, PPUs and residue analysis from suppliers.

• Maintain the pesticide risk assessment, reporting on changes to risk assessment outcomes on a regular basis.

• Lead investigations into pesticide non-compliance against customer policies. Document all non-compliant detections, root causes, and corrective actions in trackers and share updates periodically.

• Review desktop risk assessment outcomes to identify early intervention opportunities, engage suppliers to understand and implement mitigative measures, and ensure all issues are fully resolved through effective long-term action plans. Conduct risk assessment visits, in collaboration with the auditing team (desktop or in-person) as required.

• Perform supplier recall and traceability exercises.

Key skills and experience

• Educated to university degree level, preferably in a related science. Interest / knowledge / background in pesticides essential.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power BI

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with stakeholders across all levels and disciplines.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Strong project management and organisational skills.

• Strong work ethic, deadline focussed.
