Senior Data Analyst

  • Central Dewsbury
  • £43,997 per annum

At Connect Housing, we’re guided by a clear social purpose: helping our customers live happy, healthy lives.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst who is curious and collaborative; someone who can combine strong people skills with a natural curiosity to find practical, meaningful ways to improve services.

You’ll understand how data can help teams, services, and communities thrive, and you’ll use it responsibly to support lasting improvements.

This role sits at the heart of a housing and social purpose organisation, where decisions have a real impact on people’s lives. You’ll focus on turning data into insight that helps managers understand performance, identify risks early, and shape services that work for both customers and staff. You will provide clear, reliable insights that support teams, service managers, and senior leaders to make informed, balanced decisions. Equally important, you’ll build trusted relationships across the organisation, helping colleagues feel confident, capable, and well supported in how they use and understand data.

About the role

Connect Housing is bringing multiple data sources together into a central Data Warehouse to create consistent reporting and dashboards across services. You will play a key role in embedding these tools into everyday practice, ensuring information is accurate, meaningful, and used proportionately in a housing context. You will also lead our small Business Intelligence team of two Assistant Data Analysts, providing guidance, focus, and support.

What you’ll do

• Lead and manage two Assistant Data Analysts, creating a supportive, professional environment built on trust and accountability

• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using PowerBI and Excel to support housing services, compliance, and performance management

• Work closely with managers across Connect Housing to understand priorities and information needs

• Help colleagues interpret data in context, recognising both its value and limitations

• Ensure data quality, governance, and consistency across reporting

• Present information clearly to support confident, evidence-based decision-making

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience in a data or BI role, with a track record of supporting and guiding others

• Strong practical skills in PowerBI and Excel, including Power Query and data modelling

• A measured, credible style with the confidence to influence and effect change

• Good judgement and maturity when working with sensitive or complex information

• A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in how services operate on the ground

We recognise that people bring different strengths and experiences. You don’t need to see yourself as a “data evangelist” or purely technical specialist. If you have solid data skills, strong people skills, and a desire to use insight to improve services and social outcomes, we’d love to hear from you. Clear thinking, curiosity, good judgement, and the ability to build trust matter just as much as technical expertise.

Our values:

At Connect Housing, everything we do is rooted in our values:

• Put people first

• Love making a difference

• Actively listen and learn

• Collaborate creatively

• Earn trust through our actions
