Make a Difference Every Day

At Connect Housing, we believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive place to call home. We’re looking for a Housing Support & Monitoring Assistant to join our Young People’s Services team and help us deliver person-centred, trauma-informed housing support that truly changes lives.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in making sure our supported housing services run smoothly and meet the needs of young people. This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be:

  • Assisting with referrals and allocations, liaising with agencies and preparing information for meetings.
  • Supporting rent and service charge monitoring, void management, and financial processes.
  • Helping with customer satisfaction surveys and analysing feedback to improve services.
  • Preparing sign-up packs, welcome packs, and group work materials.
  • Assisting with cleaning and preparing rooms for new residents to minimise void loss.
  • Logging and reporting repairs promptly.
  • Providing accurate records of customer contacts and ensuring compliance.
  • Supporting group activities and helping Housing Support Coaches deliver sessions.
  • Covering the office, answering calls, and responding to queries.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience in a customer-focused role and working as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using monitoring systems.
  • A positive, non-judgmental attitude and commitment to safeguarding.
  • Energy, resilience, and a passion for helping young people thrive.

Experience in housing or support services is great, but if you’re enthusiastic and willing to learn, we’ll support you every step of the way, and this would be an excellent opportunity to start a rewarding career in the housing sector.

We understand that one person cannot always meet every area of a job description so if you are interested and feel you may be suitable, please do get in touch or apply. Please see the attached combined Job Description and Person Specification for more details.

An Enhanced DBS check will be carried out on the successful candidate and we will need to see two professional references. Please get in touch if you have any questions about this.

We love to help so if you would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact the HR Team.

Closing Date: Friday 28th November. Please note: We may close this advert early if we receive sufficient applications. Please apply early to avoid disappointment as we will be reviewing applications as they come in.
