What is the opportunity?
The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing various HR-related tasks that support the daily operations of the HR department. This role involves managing employee data, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and providing support in various HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, and employee relations. This a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
Key Responsibilities:
• Employee Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes in employment status.
• Onboarding and Offboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing necessary documentation, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition. Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and final documentation.
• Payroll Processing: Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
• Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Ensure employees are informed about their benefits and handle enrollment, changes, and terminations.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with HR policies, labour laws, and regulations. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and management.
• Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures and escalate issues as necessary.
• HR Systems and Tools: Manage and maintain HR information systems (HRIS) and tools to ensure data integrity and efficiency in HR operations.
• Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Ensure all HR practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within HR operations and work to implement more efficient workflows and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in HR operations or a related HR role.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour laws, and regulations.
• Proficiency in HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
• Experience in a fast-paced or multinational environment.
• Familiarity with employee benefits administration.
