Job Description

WIG is a membership charity that is building a community of leaders across public, private and not-for-profit sectors. For over 40 years, WIG has brought together senior decision-makers and thought leaders from business, government and civil society to tackle the challenges that matter most to the UK’s future. With a membership community of over 250 organisations, WIG’s members are the foundation of everything it does. The Membership Executive plays a vital role in keeping that community healthy and well-served — providing high-quality day-to-day support to member organisations, coordinating engagement activity, and ensuring the data and processes that underpin the membership offer are accurate, timely and trusted. Sitting within the Membership team in the newly formed Membership & Marketing directorate, the Membership Executive reports to a Membership Manager and works closely with colleagues across Partnerships, Marketing, Research, Policy & Impact and Leadership Development. This is a delivery-focused role that combines relationship coordination, operational rigour and CRM stewardship. The right candidate is highly organised, service-minded and energised by working at the intersection of public policy, leadership and cross-sector collaboration. They take pride in getting the detail right — a clean record, a prompt reply, a well-prepared briefing — because they understand that small things, done consistently well, are what make members feel genuinely valued. They are confident communicating with senior contacts in member organisations and are looking to build a career in membership, account management or stakeholder engagement in a mission-driven setting.

Responsibilities
1. Member account support and coordination
• Act as a first point of contact for designated member organisations, responding promptly and professionally to queries and ensuring every interaction reflects WIG’s standards of service.
• Support Membership Managers in the day-to-day stewardship of a portfolio of member accounts, including diary coordination, meeting preparation, follow-up actions and account record-keeping.
• Prepare briefing notes, engagement summaries and account update materials for internal meetings, ensuring colleagues have what they need to engage members effectively.
• Coordinate the onboarding of new member contacts — including welcome communications, account set-up, introductions to relevant colleagues and signposting to WIG’s offer.
2. Engagement delivery and member experience
• Support delivery of personalised engagement plans across the member portfolio, tracking activity, identifying gaps and flagging at-risk relationships to the Membership Managers and Head of Membership.
• Coordinate member attendance at WIG events, programmes and roundtables, working with the Research, Policy & Impact and Leadership Development teams to ensure members are connected to the right opportunities.
• Support renewal conversations and contract administration, preparing renewal packs, tracking renewal status and ensuring timely follow-up across the renewal cycle.
• Champion the member experience across every touchpoint, escalating issues quickly and contributing ideas to improve how WIG serves its community.
3. Partnerships support and administration
• Support the Head of Partnerships with monitoring activity across the prospect and partner pipeline, maintaining accurate CRM records, tracking engagement and identifying opportunities, risks and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate partnership administration, including meeting scheduling, briefing preparation, and pipeline reporting, ensuring prospects and partners receive a professional and seamless experience.
• Manage CRM data and reporting processes, maintaining data quality, producing regular pipeline and performance reports, and supporting the team with insight to inform partnership and revenue growth activity.
• Support commercial and contractual processes, including preparing proposals, processing invoices, tracking payments, maintaining partnership records and ensuring timely administration throughout the partnership lifecycle.
• Champion an excellent partner experience responding promptly to enquiries, escalating issues where appropriate and contributing ideas to improve delivery.
4. CRM stewardship, data and reporting
• Maintain accurate, complete and timely member records in WIG’s CRM (Dynamics 365), ensuring contact, engagement and renewal data is fit for purpose and supports reliable reporting.
• Run regular engagement and pipeline reports for the Membership team, surfacing trends, flagging anomalies and supporting the Head of Membership with the data needed for Director and Board reporting.
• Support adoption of CRM enhancements as they are rolled out through the digital roadmap, contributing user feedback and helping embed new ways of working across the team.
• Maintain documentation of membership processes, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting onboarding of new team members.
5. Cross-team collaboration and insight
• Work closely with Partnerships, Marketing, Research, Policy & Impact and Leadership Development colleagues to pass on member intelligence, identify opportunities and ensure members receive a joined-up experience.
• Gather and share insight on member needs, satisfaction and engagement patterns, contributing to the team’s collective view of how the membership offer is landing.
• Support delivery of member communications in coordination with the Marketing team, ensuring content reaches the right contacts at the right time. 6. Other
• A commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Ability to travel occasionally to undertake duties in relation to the role.
