About the Role

Working within our Quality team, you'll independently carry out dimensional and visual inspection of components and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.

Using a variety of precision measuring equipment, you'll verify products against engineering drawings, GD&T requirements and customer specifications, ensuring only conforming products progress through manufacture or are released to our customers.

You'll work closely with Production, Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, providing timely inspection support while helping to drive continuous improvement across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Skilled Quality Inspector, you'll:

• Carry out goods-in, first-off, in-process, final and release inspections.
• Perform accurate dimensional and visual inspections using a range of conventional measuring equipment and advanced inspection systems.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T requirements and customer specifications.
• Ensure products meet all quality, regulatory and customer requirements before progressing through manufacture.
• Complete inspection reports, quality documentation and ERP transactions accurately.
• Raise and manage non-conformances, supporting containment and corrective actions.
• Support internal, customer and external audits.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to minimise quality issues and support manufacturing performance.
• Contribute to Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain high standards of safety, organisation and care of inspection equipment.

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

• Proven experience within a manufacturing quality inspection environment.
• The ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment.
• A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
• Experience supporting production within a precision engineering or advanced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the confidence to work independently.

It would be advantageous if you also have experience with:

• Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
• Portable CMM (Romer Arm) or 3D scanning technology.
• PC-DMIS, PolyWorks or similar inspection software.
• First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
• Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport or other precision engineering sectors.
