About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll lead manufacturing engineering activities across multiple programmes, taking products from concept through to full-rate production.

Working closely with Design, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain, you'll develop robust manufacturing processes, introduce new technologies, support automation projects and drive continuous improvement across the factory.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and influencing how manufacturing is done.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading Manufacturing Engineering activities across New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes.
  • Developing efficient, scalable manufacturing processes and production methods.
  • Driving industrialisation and ensuring products are production-ready.
  • Specifying and implementing tooling, fixtures, equipment and automation solutions.
  • Leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
  • Solving complex manufacturing problems using structured engineering techniques.
  • Supporting customers and suppliers throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Mentoring Manufacturing Engineers and sharing technical best practice across the team.

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

  • Significant experience within a Manufacturing Engineering environment.
  • Experience leading industrialisation or NPI projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes, tooling and production documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across engineering, operations and quality teams.
  • Experience within Aerospace, Defence, Motorsport, Automotive or another advanced manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
