Role Summary

This is an exciting and varied role, pivotal to the growth of the business. You will be responsible for managing customer relationships, understanding requirements, and ensuring expectations are met and exceeded.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, capable individual who can work both independently and collaboratively. A proactive, positive approach is essential, along with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing requirements and tight deadlines.

The Account Manager will evaluate and quote for the manufacture of complex components and assemblies, supported by cross-functional teams. You will manage orders from initial enquiry through onboarding and into delivery, ensuring smooth handover between commercial, technical, and operational functions. In addition, you will support forecasting, customer feedback activities, and marketing initiatives, including events and exhibitions (with occasional travel).

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries swiftly, in line with company targets.
  • Prepare accurate and competitive costings and quotations to secure profitable growth.
  • Act as the key link between customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless coordination of requirements.
  • Support order processing, contract review, and project kick-off activities.
  • Represent customer requirements internally, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, cost, and timing.
  • Develop pipelines of new opportunities within existing accounts and identify new leads.
  • Assist in exploring new market sectors, understanding sector-specific requirements.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Business or a related discipline (with technical/engineering exposure desirable).

Experience

  • Proven experience selling bespoke or complex products into advanced industries (e.g., Aerospace, Automotive).
  • Knowledge and interest in engineering and manufacturing disciplines.
  • Experience in B2B account management within aerospace, automotive, defence, or motorsport industries.
  • Budget management and estimating experience.
  • Understanding of composite and/or fabrication manufacturing techniques is desirable.
