Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a stores person to be based at our Tividale depot, you will oversee all aspects of the stores, working with the stores manager you will be responsible for ensuring the midlands depots are supplied with parts up on request, also ensuring held stock levels are maintained to aid the engineering department in meeting service delivery requirements.

You will need to of had some experience within the motor / transport trade and be able to identify main parts.

Good communication and basic IT skills are essential.

Hours of work Mon- Fri 8:30 – 17:00, 40 hours per week

Rate of pay National Minimum Wage

Responsibilities
  • Working with engineering department to ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner
  • Carrying out stock takes · Notifying Stores manager of any missing stock
  • Working with accounts purchasing to ensure cost effective ordering of parts 
  • Ensuring our electronic parts system (freeway) is up to date and parts authorised in a timely manner.
  • Returns and warranty claims are actioned promptly
  • Goods outwards packaging and all outbound logistics actioned accordingly
  • Receiving of goods is actioned promptly and updated on the electronic parts system (freeway)
  • Housekeeping of stores and old units
  • Dealing with suppliers either online, over the phone or in person.
  • Updating ETA of parts on order with managers and supervisors.
  • Adhering to company policy and procedure and health and safety policy.
