Job Description

Our Lunch Cover Nursery Assistants enable children to engage in a range of play and learning opportunities and to participate in the day to day activities within the nursery. 

You will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.

  • At least 3 months experience working with children
  • Experience serving food and dealing with hygiene practices is desirable, though training is provided
  • A passion and enthusiasm for childcare.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
  • Good timekeeping, organisation and reliability.

This role is Part-Time with an hourly rate of £12.98 per hour

Qualifications
  • Desirable 
  • A Paediatric First Aid Certificate

  • Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Sufficient understanding and use of English

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all children, staff and families
  • Ability to support an environment which is inclusive for all and encourages diversity.

  • Ability to plan, provide and evaluate a wide range of play and learning opportunities which meet children’s individual needs
Experience
Essential 
  • Experience of working with children aged under 5.
  • Experience of providing play and learning opportunities for children.

Desirable 

  • Experience serving food and dealing with hygiene practices is desirable, though training is provided

Working Hours - We have 2 options available 

16 hours per week, Monday - Thursday 

20 hours per week, Monday - Friday
