Job Description

Our Nursery Apprentices contribute to maintaining a high quality service to children, working as part of a staff team to meet children's individual needs. 

You will apply yourself diligently, both in respect of your training courses and during your work, to aquire the skills involved and your continued satisfactory progression through the course, including passing examinations/assessments.

You will need;

  • A passion and enthusiasm for childcare
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
  • Good timekeeping, organisation and reliability.

£21,000 Salary - Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

We also have 4 Day Week contracts available - 32 hours with a salary of £16,800

Qualifications

Desirable 

  • A Paedriatric First Aid Certificate 
Competencies

Essential 

  • Ability to adhere to policies and procedures 
  • Sufficient understanding and use of English 
  • Ability to work as a team member and organise own workload 
  • Ability to be a reflective practitioner in order to develop your practice 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all children, staff and families 
  • Ability to support an enviroment which is inclusive for all and encourages diversity 

Desirable 

  • Knowledge of the EYFS 
  • Skills in Arts, Craft, Games or Sports 
  • Ability to plan, provide and evaluate a range of play and learning opportunities which meet children's individual needs 
Experience

Desirable 

  • Experience of supporting children with additional needs 
  • Experience of providing play and learning opportunities for children
