Job Description
Our Room Leaders assist in the day to day management of the setting, whilst leading their room team to enable children to engage in a range of play and learning opportunities.
You will have passion and enthusiasm for safeguarding children and delivering high standards of care.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- At least 2 years experience in a childcare setting.
- Experience in a leadership or management position.
- A great understanding of the EYFS.
- A passion and enthusiasm for childcare.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Good timekeeping, organisation and reliability
£33000 Salary - Full-time 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures
- Sufficient understanding and use of English
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS. This is essential
- Ability to work as a team member and leader but also manage and organise own workload
- Ability to plan, provide and evaluate a wide range of play and learning opportunities which meet children’s individual needs
- Ability to complete basic administrative tasks
- Ability to be a reflective practitioner in order to develop your practice
- Ability to communicate effectively with all children, staff and families
- Ability to support and develop an environment which is inclusive for all and encourages diversity

- Skills in Art / Craft / Games / Sport Skills
- ICT Skills
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working with children aged under 5
- Experience of providing play and learning opportunities for children

- Experience of supporting children with additional needs
- Experience of liaising with parent's/carers and involving in their child's care
