We are looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Space Planner to join our Retail team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining data, merchandising, store design and commercial insight to optimise how customers shop across our retail environment.

About the Role:

As our Space Planner, you will take ownership of both Micro and Macro Space Planning for your responsible area, ensuring that every square metre of retail space works as hard as possible for our customers and our business. You'll be responsible for creating and maintaining planograms, optimising product placement, developing store layouts, supporting range reviews and contributing to store development projects. Working closely with Buying, Retail, Operations and Customer Experience teams, you'll help create engaging retail environments that maximise sales, improve operational efficiency and enhance the customer journey.

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

Micro Space Planning

Create maintain and implement category planograms and merchandising standards. Support seasonal launches, promotions and new product introductions.

Analyse sales and performance data to optimise product placement.

Drive planogram compliance across the retail business.

Partner with Buying and Retail teams to improve category performance.

Macro Space Planning

Design and maintain store layouts that improve customer flow and commercial performance.

Support refits, store changes and retail development projects.

Review space productivity and identify opportunities to enhance utilisation.

Produce visual planning documentation and store layouts.

Support innovation projects and customer experience initiatives.

Working Across the Business

Collaborate with multiple departments to deliver business objectives.

Present recommendations supported by commercial data and customer insights.

Influence stakeholders and support decision-making through effective analysis.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, merchandising standards and store performance.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Essential

Experience in Retail Space Planning, Merchandising or Category Planning.

Proven experience developing micro and macro space plans.

Strong analytical and commercial skills.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong attention to detail and organisational capability.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Experience using space planning and planogram software.

Desirable

Experience within premium, luxury, health or beauty retail.

Working knowledge of SpaceMan, MySpaceMan, AutoCAD or equivalent planning software.

Experience supporting store development or refit programmes.

Understanding of customer journey mapping and retail design principles.
