  • Continuously developing your technical skills and keeping up to date with emerging technologies, tools and development approaches.
  • Using AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, productivity and code quality.

The above list is not exhaustive and the successful candidate will be expected to undertake duties appropriate to the level and scope of the role.

What we are looking for:

We're looking for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys solving problems, and is keen to develop a career in software development. You'll have:

  • An understanding of object-oriented programming (demonstrated through education, personal projects or technical assessment).
  • Experience using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and AngularJS.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems, tools and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and seek support when needed.

Additional skills and experience we'd value:

  • Experience deploying web applications using a cloud platform such as AWS.
  • Experience developing applications that integrate with third-party APIs.
  • Familiarity with Java, Micronaut, Groovy, Grails or MySQL.
  • An interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies.
  • Previous software development experience through employment, internships, placements, university projects or personal projects.
  • A passion for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Either a completed or in-progress degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject

Don't think you have all the skills required for this role? That's okay, we recognise that experience can be built in many ways. If you have relevant skills that are not reflected in your CV, we welcome your candidacy and encourage you to share more in your cover letter, even if your experience doesn’t match our exact requirements.
