We are looking for a high-performing Senior Business Development Consultant to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and executing specific and targeted sales strategies for Intuition’s leading product & professional services business in Asia-Pacific. There is a focus on our BFSI clients in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. Based in Singapore reporting to the EVP APAC, the Senior Business Development Consultant will be responsible for identifying repeat and new sales opportunities within the region, growing strategic relationships, and utilizing commercial acumen to define and maximize opportunities. The successful candidate will work on an office-centric hybrid schedule and will cover the full range of deliverables including market research, consulting with clients, solution selling, and working with both internal and external partners to ensure success. Primarily the role is a strategic focus on our e learning product, technology and classroom deliverables, both accredited and non-accredited solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong sales credentials with a proven track record of individual success in dynamic sales environments. They will be highly driven, with an aptitude for innovation and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Excellent client-facing and communication skills are essential. Working in team environment, as a single contributor, a collaborative mindset is required.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Generating new business and meeting sales targets.
- Developing our existing accounts, and inside wallets, from our regional and Global client base, working alongside our other product and services Business Development colleagues.
- Executing specific sales campaigns by prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities. These are focussed on our blended solutions of e learning, technology & instructor led offer, including coaching and executive education.
- Delivering compelling sales presentations to prospects, highlighting the benefits and features of our various solutions.
- Developing our accreditation and regulatory channels for learning solutions.
- Leveraging industry contacts to drive business development initiatives and enhance the company’s presence in APAC.
- Evaluating competition, analysing the market, and thinking laterally to target opportunities for growth in APAC whilst staying informed about industry trends, competitors and market conditions.
- Liaising with senior management to define opportunities and optimize solutions. This role requires a close working relationship with the EVP, offering excellent career progression.
- Utilizing commercial acumen to define and maximize opportunities.
- Attendance of networking events, conferences, and travel to clients where necessary.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- A minimum of 7 – 10 years’ experience in a similar role in e-learning or classroom sales, embedded within learning solutions.
- A track record of consistently meeting and exceeding personal sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Fluency in English
- Be a hunter, door-opener and cold caller.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
- Proven experience in solution selling to the financial market vertical, both accredited and non – accredited.
- Exceptional personal drive.
- Ability to work independently to meet and exceed targets.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven success in building cross-functional and external relationships to drive sales outcomes.
- Ability to manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously, at a fast pace and to tight deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to produce and analyse reports to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Experience of working in Hong Kong or Australia is a distinct advantage.
- Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin would be an advantage but isn’t critical
