As part of our continued expansion, we are looking for an ambitious and customer-focused Trade Parts Advisor to join our Basildon branch — someone with a passion for parts and a drive for sales success.

The Role

This is a sales-focused position, responsible not only for handling trade parts enquiries but also for actively identifying sales opportunities and helping to grow our trade business. You will play a vital role in generating revenue through the accurate and efficient supply of vehicle parts while building long-term relationships with trade customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify customer needs and promote additional parts, upsells, and add-ons where appropriate.

• Respond to trade and retail enquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing expert advice and guidance.

• Use internal systems and parts catalogues to process orders quickly and accurately.

• Follow up on enquiries and quotes to convert into confirmed sales.

• Build strong relationships with new and existing trade customers to support ongoing business.

• Support the parts team in achieving monthly sales targets and KPIs.

• Process payments and maintain accurate sales records.

• Assist with stock checks and ensure parts inventory is well maintained.

About You

We are looking for a target-driven and customer-orientated individual who can bring strong sales acumen to the role. A confident communicator with a keen eye for opportunity, you should be comfortable working in a busy, commercial environment.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a Parts Advisor or Trade Parts Sales role (2 years+ preferred).

• Strong sales mindset with the ability to spot and convert opportunities.

• Excellent product knowledge and understanding of the motor trade industry.

• Confident communication skills and professional customer handling.

• Proficient with IT systems; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop DMS is beneficial.

• Organised, motivated, and able to thrive under pressure.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:30

• Saturdays: 08:00 – 13:00 (1 in 3 rota)

Salary and Benefits

• On-target earnings: £37,000 – £38,500 per year (dependent on experience and performance)

Preferred Experience

• Automotive industry: 1 year (preferred)

• Parts sales/advisor: 2 years (preferred)
