Parts Advisor – Toomey Motor Group Basildon & Southend 

Full-Time, Permanent £30,500 – £34,000 (OTE)

The Role As a Parts Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of our parts operation, actively supporting customers and technicians while driving parts sales and contributing to departmental targets. You’ll combine product knowledge with strong communication skills to upsell where appropriate and ensure customers receive the right parts, first time.

Key Responsibilities • Proactively identify customer needs and recommend the correct parts solutions • Maximise sales opportunities through effective upselling and add-on sales • Deliver outstanding service to trade and retail customers • Handle walk-in, telephone, and online enquiries efficiently and professionally • Use electronic parts catalogues and stock systems to ensure accuracy and availability • Maintain stock control, including booking in deliveries and correct storage • Process customer payments accurately • Support regular stock checks and inventory management • Work towards department targets and KPIs

About You You are confident, organised, and commercially aware, with a natural ability to build rapport and close sales. What We’re Looking For: • Proven ability to sell and deliver excellent customer service • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment • Computer literate with strong attention to detail • Reliable team player with a positive, can-do attitude Desirable (but not essential): • Experience as a Parts Advisor within the motor trade • Knowledge of CDK (Kerridge/Keyloop) DMS

Working Hours • Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm • Saturdays: 8:00am – 1:00pm (rota basis)

Preferred Experience • Automotive industry experience: 1+ year • Car Parts Advisor experience: 2+ years
