Position: Tenant Board Member

Start: March 2026

Location: Bradford City Centre, West Yorkshire

Salary: £3,472.00 per annum (note there may be an option for this position to be unremunerated so that tenant benefits are not affected)

Your commitment to Manningham:

We are looking for a tenant who is a strong team player, can actively listen to others, can contribute thoughts and opinions to wise decision making. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience noted in the person specification and must have an interest or understanding of the social housing sector and the community our Association serves.

Whilst Board members are expected to attend Board meetings and contribute to the strategic decision-making process, we also ask each individual Board member to commit their time to one of our committees; our tenant Board member would be expected to represent the voice of all our tenants and commit additional time to the Customer Experience Committee.

You would be expected to attend:

• All our evening Board meetings (x2 per year, 6pm – 8:30pm)

• All daytime Board Strategy Days (x2 per year, approx. 9am – 6:30pm)

• All evening Customer Experience Committee meetings (x4 per year, 6pm – 8pm)

• Attend ad hoc Board meetings and task and finish group meetings (approx. x2 per year, 1hour - times vary)

• Biennial appraisal and biennial one to one with the Chair of Board (x1 per year, 1hour - times vary)

• One scheme focus event per year (half a day, dates vary)

• One Association event per year (half a day or evening, dates vary)

Dedicate time to:

• Reading through Board and Committee meeting papers one week ahead of a meeting (approx. 2hour reading time per meeting)

• Attend 45 minute training sessions pre Board Meetings to keep abreast of issues affecting tenants

• Attend dedicated Board training sessions throughout the year, these will be a mixture of full and half day events (approx. 4 per year)

• Check your emails at least once per week (a secure email address will be provided)
