The Role
We are looking for a Residential Property Lawyer or Licensed Conveyancer to join our growing Property department. The right candidate will undertake a case load within the residential property team undertaking a range of residential property matters including purchases, sales and refinances.
They will become a strong part of the residential property team.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
• HTB and other Equity Mortgages, HTB ISAs and Lifetime ISAs, HTB mortgage redemptions
• Leasehold properties, including shared ownership
• Right to Buy transactions
• Investment properties, including HMOs and purchases by corporate bodies
• Remortgages
• Transfers of Equity
• Straightforward Declarations of Trust
• Dealing with unregistered land
• Dealing with restrictions
• Probate Sales
The Candidate
The successful candidate must possess the following attributes;
• 2 to 3 years post qualified experience
• Knowledge of working under the CQS scheme and requirements for CQS accreditation
• Knowledge of SDLT
• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act
• Ability to manage and prioritise a significant workload
• Ability to run files independently with limited supervision
• Strong interpersonal and client care skills
• Strong team player
• Confidence to participate in the business development for the team
• Strong communication skill for interacting with client and agents
• Excellent IT skills
• Commercial awareness
• Highest level of client care
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage and prioritise a significant workload
• Ability to work well in and lead a team
• Ability to coordinate team members and monitor workflow
• Ability to establish good relationships across the firm
