Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand our machining capabilities over the coming year.
The Position
- Clean and maintain offices, workshop areas, kitchens, toilets, and communal areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste materials appropriately.
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, doors, and surfaces.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and stored safely.
- Handle and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) requirements and company procedures.
- Ensure COSHH information and safety data sheets are followed when using cleaning substances.
- Wear and maintain appropriate PPE when carrying out cleaning duties.
- Identify and report any maintenance or health & safety concerns.
- Support housekeeping standards across the business.
- Follow all company health & safety procedures and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
General:
- Promote effective communication between your functional area and other areas of the business.
- Comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and legal obligations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, reporting any hazards, incidents, near-misses, or unsafe behaviour promptly and accurately.
- Use and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriately, ensuring correct use in line with task and risk requirements.
- Participate in mandatory EHS training, emergency response drills, and company health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement in safety and sustainability, including contributing ideas for reducing risk, waste, and environmental impact.
- Demonstrate environmental awareness by following procedures for responsible use of materials, recycling, and energy conservation.
- Maintaining high levels of personal motivation and development, advising line manager of personal training requirements to enhance achievement of job role.
- Perform any other duties which may be required within the role to meet the needs of the company.
