Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand out Machining capabilities over the coming year.
Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of office areas.
• Monitor and replenish office supplies (stationery, canteen items, printer supplies)
• Liaise with vendors and service providers (cleaning, couriers)
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and courier services
• Support internal teams with travel needs
• Assist in organising company meetings, events, and staff activities
• Ensure meeting rooms are prepared and set up when required
• Arrange lunches for visitors when required
• Greeting visitors, front of house and office duties.
• Greet and assist visitors professionally
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming calls
• Respond to general inquiries via phone and email
• Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes (if applicable)
• Manage meeting room bookings
• Receive deliveries and notify concerned departments
• Ensure reception area remains tidy and welcoming
• Maintain digital filing system
• Perform accurate data entry and database updates
• Prepare letters & reports
• Schedule appointments and manage calendars
• Maintain and update training records
• Liaise and book internal and external training
• Support HR with onboarding paperwork and employee records
• Schedule interviews and liaise with candidates
• Carry out BPSS checks for all staff
• Ensure confidentiality of HR records

• Support a culture of continuous improvement in safety and sustainability, including contributing ideas for reducing risk, waste, and environmental impact.
• Demonstrate environmental awareness by following procedures for responsible use of materials, recycling, and energy conservation.
• Education Grade C or above in Mathematics and English at GCSE level or equivalent.
• Experience within the manufacturing industry.
• Assistant/ Administrative experience min 2years.
• Basic knowledge of HR and administrative processes (beneficial)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Accurate data entry and record keeping ability
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Ability to manage own time effectively and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
