Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand out Machining capabilities over the coming year.
• Operation of DMG CNC turret lathes with Y axis and live tooling to manufacture components utilising instructions within a production pack.
• Progress manufacturing in line with production schedule.
• Ensure all production documentation adheres to the relevant quality standard.
• Confirm conformance of finished work to specifications using CMMs and manual inspection methods.
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers, dial indicators and gauges – working to tight tolerance < 0.010mm
• Support new product introductions (NPI) within a production pack.
• All employees must be responsible for the safety of their work That of their co-workers and of the implementation of our policies and procedures applicable to the processes that they perform. Workers have the authority to stop production to correct safety problems.
• Identify and report any known or potential problems and to recommend solutions to aid subsequent risk management and corrective action activities. All workers and contractors are encouraged to participate and engage with OHSM & EMS, processes.
• Must ensure all accidents, incidents are reported.
• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by following proper ergonomic, safety equipment use and hygiene practices.
• Promote environmentally friendly practices and sustainability initiatives within the workplace and complete mandatory ESH-related training and certifications.
• Highly motivated individual.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Apprenticed trained or time served experience. (If applicable)
• Educated to a Grade C or above in English and Mathematics at GCSE Level or equivalent.
• Ability to manage own time and workload effectively.
• Excellent communication skills.
