About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Global Sales to lead the airline’s global air cargo commercial strategy.
This role owns end to end revenue performance, driving yield, volume, and market share across all products and trade lanes. This is a senior player–manager position combining strategic leadership with hands on engagement, including direct ownership of key global customer relationships and major commercial negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and execute the global sales strategy aligned to network, capacity, and EBITDA targets
• Set and deliver revenue budgets by corridor, product, and customer segment
• Lead pricing strategy in collaboration with Network Planning
• Identify and grow new revenue streams including ACMI, wet lease, contract freight, and spot charter
• Lead, develop, and structure a geographically distributed global sales team (including GSAs)
• Establish clear KPIs, performance management, and coaching culture
• Personally manage strategic global accounts and negotiate long term capacity agreements
• Lead the annual sales planning cycle and revenue forecasting
• Ensure strong CRM governance, pipeline discipline, and reporting
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, and Customer Experience teams
• Represent the airline at industry forums and major customer events
Required Experience
• 12+ years’ experience in air cargo or logistics, including senior sales leadership
• Proven track record of delivering revenue growth in a cargo airline, GSSA, or freight forwarding environment
• Strong understanding of global air freight markets, pricing, and capacity management
• Experience leading international, multi region sales teams
• Extensive experience negotiating complex, long term commercial agreements
• Executive level stakeholder and reporting experience Preferred
• Exposure to ACMI, charter, or wet lease models
• Experience in network expansion or commercial transformation
• Knowledge of e commerce, pharma (GDP), perishables, or special cargo
Qualifications
• Degree or equivalent professional experience
• English fluency required; additional languages advantageous
• IATA or relevant industry certifications a plus
