Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 550 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 200 bereaved families each year.
We have recently delivered THE BUILD, a £21.9m project to extend and completely refurbish the hospice. THE BUILD has seen the hospice create a new children’s wing, which opened last February, while work to fully refurbish and extend the existing building, with brand new facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, wellbeing suite, and education centre, is expected to be completed very shortly.
We are now looking for a dynamic, imaginative and strategic Head of Mass Relationships to lead the next chapter of our journey. This is your chance to make your mark within a bold and forward thinking organisation that is not afraid to think big.
As Head of Mass Relationships, you will work with our Head of Major Relationships to lead the strategy that powers our core income , motivating thousands of supporters, developing unforgettable campaigns, and inspiring people across the region to stand with Martin House.
The role will involve:
• Leading and deliver an ambitious mass engagement strategy to drive sustainable income growth.
• Maximising all fundraising channels across Individual Giving (regular giving and lottery), Regional and Events Team and our Corporate Partners.
• Overseeing innovative campaigns that raise funds and build emotional connection with our cause.
• Supporting and inspire a talented team of Managers, bringing out their best, developing their skills and driving high performance.
• Shaping supporter journeys that feel personal and meaningful.
• Introducing new ideas, new technologies and new ways of working that keep Martin House ahead of the curve.
• Leading as a key member of the Income Generation Senior Leadership Team, helping embed positive change across the organisation.
• Ensuring all activity is governed by best practice, compliance and high quality insight. This is a role for a creative strategist, a data informed thinker and a natural leader who can turn fresh ideas into measurable impact.
We are looking for someone who is:
• Experienced in fundraising, marketing or donor development.
• Be committed to Martin House’s values – Excellence, Respect, Integrity and Compassion.
• Confident leading teams and driving large scale growth.
• Skilled in CRM systems, supporter journeys and understanding what makes people take action.
• Able to generate and analyse data to inform smart decisions.
• A strong communicator with brilliant interpersonal skills.
