About RDC Aviation

RDC Aviation is a leading provider of aviation data, analytics and software solutions. We empower airlines, airports, and financial institutions with actionable insights through our innovative data platforms and APIs. Our mission is to simplify complex aviation data and deliver it in ways that drive smarter decisions.

The Role

You will be a core part of the data research and analytical team in RDC, providing the final human touch on the output quality of our market intelligence data. You will then use our full range of datasets to produce compelling, insight-led content for our marketing and newsletter communications — positioning RDC as a thought leader in the aviation data space.

Alongside this, you will support the fleet data research function, contributing to the curation, validation, and processing of aircraft fleet datasets that underpin our core products. You'll be joining a skilled and committed team of aviation and data experts, bringing your own experience to help us raise our standards, strengthen our data research practices and grow together.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Undertake a final human review on our market intelligence data, covering flown event data, emissions, fares, profitability and route costs data points.
  • Report back to research analysts and data engineering teams on data gaps and anomalies for further review and rectification.
  • Develop dashboards to support analysis of RDC datasets.
  • Provide monthly reporting on data quality findings.
  • Research and source data on fleet movements, aircraft type distributions, and configuration changes from authoritative industry sources.
  • Assist in the processing and structuring of raw data submissions from operators for use in LOOP.
  • Identify and flag data quality issues, working with data source providers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Research, draft and publish insight-driven content for RDC Aviation’s marketing channels, drawing on proprietary fleet, performance, and commercial data.
  • Contribute to RDC newsletters, translating complex aviation data trends into accessible and engaging editorial content.
  • Identify and develop data stories across RDC’s product families including LOOP, AirportCharges and Apex.
  • Collaborate with product and commercial teams to align content output with go-to-market priorities.

What We're Looking For

We don't expect anyone to tick every box here. If you have core data analysis experience in aviation, we'd love to hear from you.

  • Strong analytical background with demonstrable experience in data research and analytics-led content production.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to distil complex data into clear, compelling narratives for professional audiences.
  • Comfortable working with structured datasets and proficient in Excel or similar tools for data manipulation and summarisation.
  • A strong interest in aviation and an understanding of key datasets used across the industry.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in data accuracy and editorial quality.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Power BI, or similar analytics environments.

Other Useful Experience

  • Experience with SQL or data querying tools for extracting and aggregating data from databases.
  • Experience writing content for social media and newsletter streams.
  • Knowledge of aviation data sources and confidence in assessing data quality.

What's in It for You

  • A chance to work on data of critical importance to airports and airlines globally.
  • Further develop your skills and knowledge of aviation data by working alongside highly experienced subject matter experts.
  • Help shape the public face of RDC’s profile as a leader in aviation data through high-quality reports and analytical content.

We also offer a benefits package designed with flexibility and wellbeing in mind:

  • Hybrid working with flexibility built in.
  • Private healthcare (on completion of probation).
  • 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and a day off on your birthday.
  • Auto enrolment pension scheme.
