We are looking for a candidate to join the Commercial Team at RDC in the role of Key Account Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with a select group of high-value customers. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact, helping clients maximise the value of RDC solutions while identifying opportunities for growth. This role is ideal for a commercially driven individual who excels at building rapport, understanding customer needs, and delivering strategic account outcomes.

Founded in 1999, the company researches and maintains a range of unique proprietary datasets covering airport user charges, government taxes, airline fleets, airline pricing and sustainability. These are available through a suite of analytical services including on-line applications, APIs, a data distribution platform and custom datasets that help customers better understand growth, risk, sustainability, performance and operating cost metrics.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own Strategic Customer Relationships: Manage and deepen relationships with a portfolio of high-impact, high-value accounts
  • Drive Account Strategy and Growth: Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on retention, expansion, and long-term value creation
  • Portfolio Expansion: Grow account base through acquisition of new customers
  • Revenue Ownership: Take full ownership of account revenue targets, including renewals, upsells, and cross-sells, while maintaining strong margins
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer internally, championing their needs and influencing product roadmap, support, and service enhancements
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Operations and Marketing teams to ensure the seamless delivery of solutions and customer satisfaction
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks within accounts and develop mitigation plans to prevent churn or dissatisfaction
  • Reporting and Insights: Provide regular reporting on account health, growth opportunities, and customer feedback to leadership and stakeholders

Main Duties

  • Lead high-level check-ins, strategic planning sessions, and executive briefings with key clients
  • Review and refine account plans regularly to align with customer goals and priorities
  • Identify and pursue commercial growth opportunities based on customer roadmaps, product usage, and evolving needs
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to maximise opportunities within portfolio of accounts
  • Analyse customer data, trends, and feedback to inform decision-making
  • Forecast account performance, contribute to broader sales and retention planning efforts

Other Responsibilities

  • Input into annual business development plan
  • Identify and attend relevant exhibitions, trade shows and networking events

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

Essential
  • 5+ years in B2B account management or business development, preferably in aviation, aerospace, or SaaS
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building long- term client relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales reporting
  • Ability to travel
