Wellbeing Health Care Assistant

Working alongside our Wellbeing Lead Nurse as a core member of the Wellbeing Department/Out Patient Team

22.5 hrs per week FTE Salary £24,168.89 (37.5 hrs) – £14,501.33 pro rata for 22.5 hours per week

At Nightingale House Hospice, we pride ourselves in providing the best possible care for our patients and their families and can only achieve this through our dedicated and committed staff. We work as a multidisciplinary team supporting the individual needs of the patients and those who care for them. We now have a vacancy for a Health Care Support Assistant in our Wellbeing Centre.

You will be joining a team who are passionate about caring and delivering high quality care. There is a comprehensive induction with individual mentor and opportunities for professional development. This Health Care Assistant role will be assigned to work within the Wellbeing department, providing support to patients and families during the most difficult time of their lives, offering practical care and social support for our patients, as well as excellent communication skills. The department offers wider support to patients and families through: Outpatient clinic assessments, A patient centred, needs based wellbeing programme. The service focusing on wellbeing and enablement for patients with specialist palliative care needs. We also offer a range of therapies including, music and complementary therapy, therapy dogs and hairdressing. Bathing service Spiritual care Occupational Therapy Family Support Team
