Who are MPAAS?

MPAAS are an accredited Meter Operator and Meter Asset Manager which means that not only do we own the smart meter asset, but we can fit the smart meter on behalf of your energy supplier. This makes us the face of the energy supplier; the ones who visit your home or business and our qualified Dual Fuel Meter Installers undertake the installation. In addition to this we also undertake revenue protection work for our energy suppliers.

Summary of the role

As an I&C Dual Fuel Engineer, you will be required to travel around a specified area, delivering an exceptional customer service experience to our client’s customers who you will engage with daily.

You will be technical competent, to be able to safely install various types of smart meters whilst advising customers on the benefits of smart meters in a clear and coherent manner. We are looking for the best engineers who are ideally experienced in mentoring new starters on the best practice technical excellence standards following their initial induction.

You'll be proactive, and always keen to find new and efficient ways to make your role safer and more efficient.

Your overarching key responsibilities

• Installation and maintenance of industrial and commercial meters
• Working on both single and three phase meters
• Other related duties as required by the metering department.
• Interaction and liaison with the delivery support team
• Although you will be mainly working on your own, we still want people to be team players and help out other engineers where needed.
• Maintain safety standards and follow working procedures.
• Control and manage stock.
• Any other duties as required.

Where you will fit in the Company

This role will sit within our Commercial Smart Meter Operations department working on our Industrial & Commercial contract.

What we are ideally looking for in you

• Ideally 12 months+ experience as a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer
• CCN1/CMA1 + MET1 or Level 2 Diploma in Smart Metering
• 3 phased qualified and experienced
• EUSR Card – Ideal but not essential
• Strong customer service skills - No day will be the same and you will be interacting with a number of different people. We need someone to be able to speak with customers in the right way to make sure customers feel valued and that their installation goes smoothly.
• A full, manual driving licence with no more than 6 points

The Salary & Terms applicable for this role

• Basic Salary: £37000
• London Weighting: £4,000 (If inside the M25)
• Daily Fitting Bonus: CT Meter Exchange = £15, Dual Exchange = £7.50, Single Exchange = £5, Recommissioning = £2.50
• Attendance Bonus: £300 per month
• Health & Safety Bonus: £500 per quarter
• Annual Leave: 31 days (including bank holidays), increasing with yearly service up to max of 33 days
