We are excited about growing the SQEP Ltd team and are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team. As a Finance Assistant, you will work closely with the Finance Team, you will play a key role in the financial administration of the company. You will be responsible for day to day financial processing, as well as undertaking general financial administration tasks under the guidance of the Finance Director.

The role is ideally an on-site role and full-time, however willing to discuss hybrid and part-time, flexible options with the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Check, process and record all payments, administer invoices and expenses claims received

Reconcile transactions on computer and bank statements and ensure that all accounts balance

Liaise with and review budgets and expenditure as necessary and prepare monthly reports and other data as required

Maintain proper records for all the above on SAGE and file all relevant paperwork

Remain up-to-date and compliant with all organisational procedures policies and professional codes of conduct and uphold standards of best practice

Think creatively and show initiative

Qualifications

Ideal applicant would have, or be working towards an AAT qualification or equivalent

Competencies

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Ability to work as part of a team, as well as on own initiative

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Confidence in liaising with external organisations

Ability to use databases, including spreadsheets

Accuracy in reporting detailed financial information

Proficiency in working with Microsoft packages, including Outlook, Word and Excel

Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload, manage competing tasks and meet deadlines
