Job description
Machine Operators are responsible for the efficient operation of the production line where our award winning products are processed and packed to meet quality standards. Machine Operators may work in either the dairy, cheese production or pre-pack areas of our factory and once trained can move between different areas providing cover where required.
Full training is provided.
Hours of work
Monday - Friday with shifts starting between 6am and 7am until around 3:30pm. Shift end times are not guaranteed and may vary depending on milk intake and order requirements.
As we intake milk from our partner dairy farms 365 days per year, bank holiday work is required, with the exception of New Years Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Responsibilities
To operate the machinery within the factory in adherence with work instructions
- Monitor all production quality issues and product packaging to ensure product specifications are met.
- Check product weights, temperatures, date codes and customer orders.
- Move products into chilled stores and collect samples for the laboratory.
- Complete paperwork accurately and promptly to meet the requirements of the Quality Manual System.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures and regulations ensuring a safe and tidy working environment is maintained, and all equipment and premises are cleaned to a quality standard.

Experience
Experience working within a factory environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
