Job Title: Junior Graphic Designer
Reporting to: Senior Creative Designer
Salary: £25,000

Working pattern: This is a permanent, full time role based at our design studio in Falmouth, Cornwall. Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm with a flexible working culture. At present we do not work weekends or bank holidays unless business demands it.

What you'll be doing...
The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating digital and print designs (internal and external) using our established brand guide and visual styles. They will support the marketing team to deliver campaigns across our three sales channels, sales platforms, social channels, emails and printed media.
About you...
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic team member with a can-do attitude. Working under the guidance of our Senior Creative Designer, you will help bring our unique brand to life. Confident in Adobe Creative Suite you will be creative with strong attention to detail and have an eye for sophisticated design. Organisation skills are paramount to this role, alongside excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with a professional and personable character. You will be able to work well under pressure and at pace whilst multi-tasking, using effective time management to prioritise their own workload. Above all else, have a positive, hardworking attitude and a thirst for knowledge and ready to learn. Your key responsibilities:
A key member in the creative team, helping to deliver high-level campaigns that positions and differentiates Tom Raffield in the marketplace. Your main tasks will include:
- Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite to create to take concept ideas through to print or web ready file formats and specifications.
- To support the Marketing Team in delivering a variety of marketing material, on and offline – website graphics, marketing emails, printed literature, social media assets, product specs, instructions etc.
- Utilise the TR brand guidelines and ensure they are adhered to when creating assets and campaigns that: that enhance the appeal of the product that reflect the Tom Raffield brand vision that are practical to produce
- Be proficient in Photoshop to support on a variety of image re-touching.
- Help manage the library of images, illustrations and graphics that form part of Tom Raffield visual brand kit.
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all projects.
- Understand the changing and differing priorities depending on channel/project and how these impact campaigns and wider team members.
- Support the Senior Creative Designer when required in photoshoot preparation and delivery – set builds, prop sourcing, file admin
- Embody the brand and customer types in order to create relevant and highly engaging content.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and articulate rationale behind creative concepts to other team members.
- Continuously search for new ideas and innovations to share with the team Present work with confidence, passion, and rationale
- Assist with research and pitching concepts to the Head of Marketing and wider teams.
- Ensure the TR image and filing rules are adhered to
- Source printers and suppliers and obtain quotes for approval by the marketing team
Your skills and experience:
- Portfolio of completed design projects required.
- 1-2years experience as a Graphic Designer within a marketing team, retail company or agency preferable.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – particularly Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator.
- Hands on experience with image editing.
- Experience and examples of web and email design, showcasing the ability to understand relevant customer base.
- Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to interpret brand guidelines and combine various colours, fonts and layouts.
- Attention to visual details.
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team.
- BSc degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field preferable.
