As a Key member of the Transport Compliance & Legal Team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance, in ensuring effective and accurate compliance and maintenance of the vehicles on a daily basis and ensuring fleet and driver compliance is up to date at all times.
Responsible for:
• Planning and booking of vehicle maintenance
• Support Vehicle maintenance & control, costs
•Support Maintenance records - tracking & upkeep
• Support with Supplier management and audits
• Support Temporary vehicle control (inc. Insurance notification)
• Trailer inspection & condition control
• Gatehouse checks & Cab cleanliness & vehicle condition control
• New damage & vehicle defect form control
• VDU head download & record upkeep
• Support Driver infringement control
• Attendance of meetings
• Support Accident management where applicable
• Web fleet KPIs, Fuel tracker, Vehicle Mileage
• Accident investigations & Insurance
• Support digitalisation of transport admin
• Agency & Driver inductions & Training
• Driver Assessments and LST training.
Other duties include:
• General assistance to the Transport office team
• Weekend and out of hours support where applicable
• Issuing ad hoc ‘Agency Driver Declaration Forms’
• Checking drivers’ licenses and CPC
• Driver briefing and debriefing – in accordance with the Briefing/Debriefing Compliance Record
• Cover for holidays when required Hours are 40 per week Monday to Friday 08.30am – 17.00pm. Weekends may be required at times plus any reasonable requirements associated with the position
Personal Competencies: • Managers CPC desirable but not essential • HGV license • Driver assessor qualified but not essential • Must have a good level of English and Maths • Must be computer literate including MS Office, email, spreadsheets and transport databases • Self-managing with good attention to detail • Methodical and thorough approach to work • Highly organised with the ability to remain focused under pressure • Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities to meet requirements • Ability to adhere to processes • Must have a ‘Can Do Attitude’ and a desire to improve • Flexible – a “team player”
